Chapter nine

I went back to meet my best friend already waiting for me. The bartender was talking with someone else and I raised my brow in question. She just waved her hand signaling me not to worry.

"Where did you run off to?" Steph asked instead. "I almost came to look for you." I just took her drink from her hands and placed it back on the table. "Okay?" She slurred, confused.

I smiled and took her hand in mine leading her to the dance floor. If I wanted to drag his attention, I had to do something. I mean, this was what I did the first time, I just danced and he came to me. I recurred how our bodies moved together gracefully. I have to try again somehow.

Steph didn't waste time, she giggled along with me and moved her hips to the beat of the Spanish music played. 'Mia' by bad bunny. I've heard her sing to this particular music so many times and so it's something she couldn't resist.
