Chapter 8

Maddie woke up. She felt strange. She remembered seeing Raven. What happened next was vague, it was locked up in a kind of mist. As if she had been ill, with a high fever and she was delirious.

It was a kind of blanket that covered all memory.

But she felt oké. She could smell it had rained outside and went to the open doors. Wonderful that freshness in the air, which had precipitated and washed away all the dust. As if everything was new again.

She smiled.

If only that disturbing fog in her head would was down and cleare.

She went to the bathroom to take a long shower. After half an hour, she was on her way down. She paused at the library. She doubted, it felt as if she had forgotten something and she searched in her head for the answer, for the memory.

'Good morning!'

She was suddenly face to face with Raven.

His bright blue eyes met hers.

He too had a thoughtful look in his eyes and studied her.

‘A
