Chapter 14: The Job

Hugh Baker’s POV

I was looking at the contracts and the deals that I will be doing for my company. I sighed before I was looking at the invitation from my grandmother as I know she would love to see Taylor but of course , her great-granddaughter was not around and I am sick of using an excuse to avoid it.

Then, my phone rang as I was trying to concentrate on the matter.

“Hello?” I picked it up as I was reading the invitation that my grandma gave me. I sighed when I know the chuckle from the end of the other line.

“What now?” I asked Levine before he was clearing his throat. I was rolling my eyes before I stood up from the desk and walked to look at the city of London that was bustling in the moonlight. Not much was going out there, just some lads and lasses that were on and about their weekends as they were partying the shit out of them.

I wondered if Taylor was partying up like them wherever she was right now.
