It's been 3 hours since the accident.
Lucky Hamilton stands outside St. Clair's Hospital, his body exhausted from the entire day. His phone buzzes again and luckily for him, it’s a different name on the ID now. Still, he was in no mood to pick anybody’s calls. Sighing, he shoves the device back into his pocket and rubs his temples, trying to ease the headache creeping in. Inside the hospital, Daniella Blackwood had been discharged just half an hour ago. The doctors assured Lucky that she is fine, having only sustained minor injuries. Her car had been towed away, while his own vehicle, despite a few dents and scratches, was surprisingly intact. Despite the relief that both were relatively unharmed, Lucky couldn't shake off the shock of the accident. He steps back inside the hospital, and finds Daniella sitting in the waiting area, he approaches with a gentle smile "Hey there," he greets softly, trying not to startle her. Daniella looks up, her eyes still slightly red from tears shed in the aftermath of the accident. She manages a weak smile, “Hi," she replies softly, her voice hoarse. "How are you feeling" Lucky asks, concern evident in his features. “I feel okay. Much better than when I came in, that's for sure. They both chuckled at that. "I can drop you off at home. You know that right?" Daniella hesitates, her hands fidgeting in her lap. She had already refused once. "I... I don't want to be a bother," she murmurs, her voice barely audible. "You're not a bother," Lucky reassures her gently, crouching down to her eye level. "I want to make sure you're okay. Please, let me take you home." A flicker of indecision passes across Daniella's face before she shakes her head slightly. "I appreciate your kindness, but I need to be alone right now," she states matter of fact. Lucky sighs inwardly, feeling a pang of helplessness. He can tell that a part of her was in distress. "Alright. Can I at least call someone for you? A friend, family?" Daniella's expression darkens for a moment, a shadow crossing her features. "I... I don't have anyone," she admits quietly, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness. He studies her for a moment, his gaze softening. "You don't have to refuse you know ," he says gently, reaching out to touch her hand briefly. "Let me help you." “I don’t need your help” She says and looks away from him. “Well I won’t feel comfortable knowing there’s no one coming to get you” “I called a friend ” Daniela blurts out. “She’s already on her way. So I’m good. I promise” “Well I can keep you company till this friend comes” Lucky offers Daniella looks down at their hands, her throat tightening. "Thank you but I want to be alone right now," she whispers, her voice barely audible. Lucky nods understandingly, squeezing her hand reassuringly before standing up. "Alright then," he says softly."Take care of yourself, Daniela." She manages a faint smile. "Goodnight, Lucky," she replies quietly, watching him walk away. As Lucky exits the hospital, a sense of unease lingers. He glances back at Daniela one last time, hoping she'll be alright. . . .Danella's vision blurs with tears as she storms out of the garden, her emotions boiling over. She can't stop replaying the scene in her head: Lucky standing beside Alicia, their arms interlinked, as if everything between them had been a cruel joke. She rushes inside the grande mansion and through the halls, muffling her sobs. Suddenly, she collides with someone, almost losing her balance."Hey, what's wrong with you?" a voice asks, concerned. She looks up to see David Tremont. What was he doing here? Alicia must have extended an invitation to him. His brow furrows with worry as he takes in her tear-streaked face."Danella, what happened, are you okay?" he asks gently.Unable to control herself any longer, Danella bursts into tears. David's expression softens, and he takes her hand, guiding her to her room. She realizes, through her haze of emotions, that this is the first time a man other than her father has been in her room. David closes the door behind them and leads her to sit o
Danella stands frozen, her heart sinking as she watches Lucky standing beside Alicia, their arms intertwined. Their eyes meet and everything stands still. The room around her buzzes with excitement and congratulatory applause, but she feels disconnected from it all, as if she's trapped in a nightmare. Her mind races, trying to reconcile the image of Lucky—the man that had invaded her dreams to this man who was Alicia's fiancé. It didn’t make sense. How could he be getting married to her step sister? Was she dreaming? But no! She could recognize that face anywhere.Had she imagined their night together?A wave of hurt so powerful washes over her, quickly followed by a sharp pang of jealousy that hurts so bad that she can’t breathe. She hadn't realized how much she had allowed herself to think about him, to imagine a future that now seemed like a foolish dream.Tears blur her vision, and she blinks them away, feeling exposed in the midst of the crowd of well-wishers. Her chest tighten
Lucky wakes up with a deep heaviness in his chest. Today is the day. The day his engagement with Alicia Blackwood will officially happen. After his last conversation with Alicia, he has given it some thought and decided that it was best if he goes ahead with her planIt wasn’t just that he was scared his career will take a hit; it’s also the fact that she was carrying his child. If she was being honest about carrying his baby, he could not allow himself to abandon her or the baby at such an important time.He was willing to marry her for a year, at least, to provide stability while their child is born. Then, after a year, they can part ways and cohabit while raising their child together. However, he winces at the thought of the future of his life and his baby’s life. Having his child have a mother like Alicia, who is manipulative and ready to blackmail, fills him with dread. He takes another deep breath. “You have to do what you have to do," he whispers to himself. As he is about
Daniella finds herself unable to shake the conversation with Alicia from her mind. She had mentioned the possibility of her being pregnant with the intention of shocking Alicia, and it had worked perfectly. The look on Alicia’s face had been priceless, a mix of confusion and horror that had given Daniela a small but satisfying victory. Her car comes to a halt in front of the restaurant where she is meeting David. Taking a deep breath, she steps out and walks towards the entrance. As she enters the restaurant, almost immediately, she sees David rise from his seat and walk towards her with a warm smile. He had asked to meet up with two days ago, and she had obliged. He envelops her in a big hug, the scent of his Old Spice cologne surrounding her."Hey, Dani," David greeted, his smile genuine. "It's so good to see you.""Hi, David," she replies, forcing a smile. "Good to see you too."He leads her to their table, and they settle into their seats. She sits in an awkward silence as D
It’s been over weeks since his chance meeting with Daniella and Lucky still has found it impossible to stop thinking of her.Emotions continue to claw at him mixing with guilt. He should not have taken advantage of her like that. He should have controlled himself, restrained his desire, instead of taking her innocence. But something about her had made him lose all control. What kind of man sleeps with a virgin on the first night he meets her? Certainly not a gentleman. And yet, he hadn't been one that night.Weeks have passed since their encounter, but the attraction for her has not faded. This isn't like him.Usually, he forgets about a woman within days, but Daniella has only continued to grow in his mind. In the past days, he has even found himself reminiscing about their night together. It wasn't just the wildness of it, but the innocence that she brought to the experience. He smiles to himself, remembering her innocently asking for more, her legs spread wide open to welcome
Daniella’s heart pounds at the sound of the loud, piercing scream. Her heart drops in her stomach as she jumps out of bed and rushes out of her room to find the source of the commotion. The scream leads her to Alicia's room, where she finds Alicia still screaming, Donna, her step mother by her side."What's going on? What's wrong with you?" Daniella asks, her voice filled with concern and confusion.Alicia ignores her, still continuing to scream. And then she turns to her mother tears streaming down her face. "Oh my God! I used to be a perfect size 6, and now I can't even fit into size 8 clothes anymore!”“My wedding is just a few weeks away. How am I going to fit into my wedding gown?”“Oh mother. I look so fat and ugly!" Big tears roll down her cheeks as she paces the room in frustration.Donna pats Alicia's back. "Oh Sweetheart, I told you to take it easy on the almonds. You ate more than handful yesterday”“But mom! I really love almonds! And they were chocolate converted on
