Chapter 2

Fine! I'm sorry. I acted like an impulsive teenager, and I knew better! I put myself in danger and I'm sorry for that." I wanted to move away, but his hands held my waist in place. He moved his head to the crook of my neck. His warm breath sent shivers down my spine.

"You scared me, Soph. Why did you choose to go solo like that?" His words no longer held anger in them. They rolled off his tongue softly with his Italian accent.

"I'm sorry. I never meant to give you or anyone else a scare. I just did what I thought was best then."

"I was so worried to death. What if something had happened to you?" I brought his face to mine. My hands were on both sides of his face, and I caressed his hard face.

"But nothing happened, Leo. I'm good. Besides, I would never put myself in a situation where I don't see myself coming back to you." He gave me a small smile. I closed the gap between us with a kiss. It was needy, passionate, and rough. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me to him, closing the little gap that was left.

"You're going to drive me crazy soon, babe." He whispered into my ear. Leo is significantly older than I am. Although I don't see it as a huge gap. I'm 25, and he's 44, but he looks AMAZING! for a 44-year-old. He's fit, with a full set of hair, and he's hot and amazing in bed. What's not to like? He started moving us towards his desk and when he finally lifted me and dropped me on it, I realised what was going down.

"Leo," I said as he trailed kisses along my neck. He made a "hmm" sound without looking at me. "Babe, I need to go."

"It's almost midnight. Where are you going to?" He said as he abruptly moved away from the table. He went to the other side of the table and sat down. He leaned into his chair as he waited for a reply from me.

"I have a late dinner to catch." He didn't seem so pleased with that. He was very protective of me. No one knew about what we had going on, and we wanted to keep it that way.

"With whom?" His eyes became dark. He was getting angry, and he didn't look angry.

"Calm down, hon. It's just Franco." That didn't make anything better.

"You're not going. You're coming over to my place tonight. " His decision was final, and I could stand here and argue all night long, but he still wouldn't budge. I slowly got up from the table and walked to the other side where he was seated. I sat down in front of him seductively. His eyes were focused on every move I made.

"It's just Franco, babe," I said as I leaned in to play with his tie. His eyes never left mine all the while.

"Still no. "

"You know that I don't need your permission, right?" I said with a small smile.

"Oh really? I can keep both of you here for as long as I want. The only thing that you and Franco will do together then will be a whole lot of paperwork. " So he's playing the boss card. Cool. I'll just play the 'I'm the mistress' card.

"Then go ahead. I'll just let you sort out your sexual kinks all by yourself. " I made a move to stand up and leave, but he held me back and pulled me until I was seated on his lap.

"Don't do that." He said firmly. He might seem a little bit... controlling, but he's just really protective.

"Then let me go for dinner, babe. It's just dinner and you have to go home too."

"It's not home if you're not there. Then it's just an empty house."

"You're as sweet as your words, but he was just as worried as you are. I've managed to calm you down, let me do the same for him. Please?" He pinched the bridge of his nose, and then he let out a sigh.

"Fine. But..don't drink anything. " I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and got up.

"Yes, Daddy. " I said laughing as I walked out of the office.

********Skyline Rooftop Bar*********

"Damn!" Franco said as we took our nth shot of vodka. We slammed the glasses on the table as we let the warm liquid settle in. My tolerance for vodka was slowly being stretched, and I know that Leo will be pissed as hell, but oh well.

"Ok. This is our last drink for the night." I said laughing. We were currently seated at the bar and man! We were both drunk. At least I'm sober enough to drive home.

"You said that 8 shots ago." He said, shaking his head.

"Seriously. We have work in a few hours, we need to leave. Boss would hate to see us with hangovers at work."

"Please! We both know that he wouldn't do anything to you."

"Yes, yes, he would. Leonardo De Lucci is a pain in the ass when it comes to work."

"But not when it comes to you. Did you see the look on his face when you went off the grid on this mission? He looked like he would kill us all if we didn't get you back safe and sound."

"Well, I'm a priceless asset to the organisation. "

"Or to him. Is there something going on with him that you're not telling me?"

I trust Franco, but I don't think telling him would be the best idea. "Nope. But we need to get you home."

"Don't avoid the question, Sophie. He's always calling you." Just then, my phone rang, and guess who it was. "You see."

I gave him a small smile, and I answered the call. "Yes, boss?"

"I'm guessing you're still out with Franco?"

"Yes."

"Well, get him home. You're needed back here."

"An emergency?"

"Yes. Now, stop asking questions and get here right now. " He ended the call! Son of a !!!!!

"Something wrong? Is your boyfriend's bed cold, and you need to rush over there and warm it up before he catches a cold?" He said teasingly.

"Can you get home by yourself?" I said as I got up and put on my jacket. I fixed my hair and I spoke.

"Yeah. But what's wrong?" He asked with worry all over his face.

"That's what I need to find out."

"Yeah. I'll be fine. Call me if anything goes wrong. "

"Thanks." I grabbed my phone and quickly left. I got into my car and drove to the organisation. When I arrived, it was almost 1 am and the place was almost empty. Lili was standing by the elevator waiting for me.

"Mr. De Lucci is waiting for you in his office." I made a move to enter the elevator, but she didn't budge.

"Aren't you coming?"

"No. The boss says he only wants you on the entire floor." The 1st floor only has two offices. There's the conference room for top members, and then there's Leo's office. I nodded and got in. I pressed the button and waited for it to go up. When I finally got there, Leo was on a call, and he ended as soon as I closed his office door. He looked so stressed out.

"What took you so long?" He asked as he looked at me like a child who came home after curfew.

"Traffic?"

"Nope." He walked over to where I was, and he just stood in front of me. Arms folded and all. "You've been drinking. "

"No, I haven't. "

"Yes, you have."

"Yes, I have," I said admittedly. He just turned and looked away. He was angry and I knew it.

"I told you not to drink!"

"You're my boss. You don't get to tell me what I can and can't do outside this building."

"Really? Cause now I need your full attention and what am I getting? The part of you that isn't drenched in booze!"

"I drove over here! I'm sober enough to argue with you, Leo! Now, am I here because you want me or because you need me to be here?"

"I have a new mission for you. "

He gave me a folder and when I opened it, I couldn't believe it. "Karrion Black. "
