Night had fallen and Royal Street was jammed packed. There were so many people and so many cars, everyone was excited for the festival.

The full moon was up, staring down at everyone. Selena’s skin was itchy as usual and it wasn’t supposed to even be a full moon tonight but there was.

Those were some of the reasons that many believed in the Moon goddess, but not Selena. Not anymore. She felt like it was all a load of crap.

Standing up, she decided that it was time to try to get in. There was a huge line at the gate of the Royal Estates, loud music coming from the compound.

The securities at the front gate were only asking for one thing, and that was ID. As long as they confirmed you were born in the pack and from this town, you’d enter free of charge and easily.

But if you were from somewhere else, you’d have to pay an entrance fee, and it wasn’t cheap.

The omega had no idea how she was going to handle the whole ID thing but she knew that there was no turning back. She needed to get

Cassie walked closer to the alpha, her eyes crazy and wild. “I just need you to be honest with me, please.” Her voice and tone was way different from her body language. She looked like she wanted to choke somebody while she sounded like she was being sweet and innocent. It was a trap, I think all of them in there knew that…including herself. “Cassie, I wouldn’t cheat on you,” the alpha replied, keeping eye contact with her.“You left with the omega hours ago, and now it’s night. You’re sweaty and your clothes are literally dirty like you have been lying on the ground. Just tell me the truth, I can handle it.”“Can we please drop this? We went on a run.” He frowned. “You know that we have school tomorrow, right? We need to wake up early.” He turned and started to walk away but the girl stepped in front of him and shook her head. “Cassie, I am really not in the mood for this.” He looked annoyed. She scoffed. “Look, if you want to f*ck her, you can. But only if that’s all you want to do

His touch. It felt magical. Selena closed her eyes and basked in the feeling. It felt like she was floating on clouds, like she was high out of her mind. Was this how drugs felt? Was the alpha now her drug? When she opened her eyes, she saw that he was much closer to her, his eyes staring deeply into hers. Every second felt charged with heat, and her heart pounded so hard. She wanted to move in and close the distance between them so badly. She wanted to see how he tasted. She wanted to touch him, feeling his muscles…his body. But she thought about Cassie and she knew immediately that this was wrong. Not only because she was an omega and he was the alpha, but because he was in a relationship. Selena didn’t want to be that kind of girl, you know? She hated cheaters, so she was most definitely not going to let herself be the reason Maddox became one.She knew she would hate herself if she let him kiss her, even though she so badly just wanted him to do that. Every cell in her body was

As they continued to run, something started to happen; something that Selena couldn’t resist no matter how hard she was trying. She was beginning to shift into her wolf, just like what the alpha had said. Running usually triggered this change, and it would take a hell lot of self control to be able to fully hold back. She wanted to stop altogether, she wanted to stop running. But it was like she was possessed, she couldn’t stop. If anything, she was even running faster now. The wind was slapping her in her face, her heart pounding so loud in her ears, and tears pricked her eyes. The moment she blinked, they fell and she started to feel her bones start to break. Her senses started to deepen and she knew that this was her last chance to stop the change or she would literally shift into her wolf.Alpha Maddox glanced at the omega and he could see that she was shifting, he needed to stop her. And he knew that it was going to be hard but he could at least try.“Selena!!” He exclaimed and

Selena was annoyed, all she wanted was the evening to herself. All she wanted was to lay on the cold hard floor and be depressed. She had no intention of being with the very same guy who was the reason she couldn’t love Elijah. Plus, she was already falling for him, so she knew that the more time she spent with him, the more she was going to fall even harder and deeper. And let’s not forget about Cassie, that girl was a psychopath who had one goal: becoming Luna of the pack. It was crystal clear she was not going to let anything or anyone stand in her way, not especially a lowly omega. But Selena had been ordered by her leader, there was no way that she could say no or disobey. Right? So she followed the alpha out of the room and they headed for the front door to leave to go to who-knows-where. But as soon as the alpha opened the front door and they stepped out, they met the beta standing with a cigarette in his hand. It was lit and he was smoking. He turned to them and when he saw

“Wake up, what are you doing?” A voice startled Selena as she had her head bent over while crying. She looked up and saw who it was…Beta Leon.“I’m sorry,” She sobbed the words out as she stood on her feet, her heart feeling like lava had been poured on it. “I just…” her breath hitched and she felt more tears escape her eyes.Leon sighed. “Look, you will be fine, okay? Bad things happen, but we can learn from them rather than letting them destroy us.”“What if I don’t want to learn from them? What if I’m too tired to learn from them?” Selena asked, her voice breaking as she stared at the man.He stared back at her, and then muttered something under his breath before replying to her, “Come here.” He pulled her in for a hug, something that he didn’t usually do…especially to omegas.Selena felt tentative about the hug but she eventually gave in, hugging the man and crying on his shoulder. It felt good, it felt freeing. It felt like it was what she had needed.Funny enough, since her life

Do you know the feeling you get when you feel so hurt that it turns to anger? That feeling of just wanting to grab the one who caused you pain and just shake them, yelling in their face for them to understand. That was what Selena was feeling right now. She really did care for Elijah, but she just couldn’t love him. Yes, she knew she had not treated him right when she was with him and probably deserved all of this, but still she just wanted him to understand that love was such a complicated emotion.Sometimes, you love so hard that you embarrass yourself in so many ways. You love so hard that things you wouldn’t typically do, you see yourself doing. Love was what Selena would refer to as a slave master, and the heart its slave. It was such a strong feeling that could never just die or go away. So she knew very well that what she felt for Elijah was far from it. It was very far from love. And she knew deep down that even if he accepted and gave her a second chance, she won’t ever be
