Chapter Twenty Nine

Lori's POV

The man bursted through the front door, his eyes alert, scanning the room to lock on us.

We wait in silence as we looked over him. He was a massive figure that seemed to cast a

large shadow over the light from outside and inside.

His eyes blazed with fury as he took a large step forward.

“I don't think we can take him,

" I whispered to Jason who said nothing.

He seemed to be thinking.

“You're James Green, right? My name is-

"

He wasn't able to finish because the man charged at us, his fists flying in a blur of motion.

Jason and I leapt into action, both our werewolf strength matching the man's as we clashed in a

flurry of punches and kicks. The sound of snarling filled the air.

"Who are you and what are you doing in my house?" the man roared, his voice like thunder as

he landed a blow that sent Jason crashing into the wall.“That's what he was about to say!" I shouted, protecting myself from his punches as he threw

me onto the ground.
