Tasha Needs Help

Ryan's POV

I was really excited about Tasha waking up when I got to the hospital. She was asleep, so I sat down and waited for her to wake up. I wanted to see how her reaction would be when she saw me. I smiled as I watched her sleep, her chestnut brown hair layed on her shoulder.

The sound of movement woke me up,I raised my head to see Tasha looking oblivious.

“You are awake.” I said.

“Ryan!” She gasped and I hid my smile.

I knew she was going to be surprised.

How…on.” She groaned and I stood up.

I went to the back of the bed and pressed the button, adjusting the bed so she could sit and rest her back,she stared at me in shock the entire time.

“How did you find me?” She asked.

“Are you hungry?” I'm sure she hasn't had anything to eat.

“I'll be right back.” I stood up and rushed outside.

I mindlink Luke on what she could eat and he advised something light like milk shake for now. I got it for her and went back to the ward. When I entered her eyes swiveled to me and I smiled,I sat by her side and put the straw in her mouth but she was lost in thought.

“Tasha, you have to drink.” I pointed to the straw which was in her mouth.

She nodded and drank when she was done,I discarded the cup and cheered for her. She might not know it but she was a strong woman.

“Good girl.” I rubbed her hair.

“What are you doing here?”

“Fortunately for me I saved you before you got ripped apart by the rogues.” I clucked my tongue.

“You were the one who saved me?” She blinked and I nodded.“You are a member of the Storm Pack?” She was shocked.

I frowned,did she have a problem with the Storm Pack?

I wanted to ask her about why she was on the run, when Luke entered.

“Alpha.” Luke bowed to me, forgetting about the patient who knows nothing about my identity.

“You are an Alpha!” Tasha screeched and I scolded Luke through the mindlink.

Tasha shifted away from me and I clenched my fist at the loss of contact.

“I can explain.” I held my hands and she stiffened.

I frowned not liking her reaction.

“Um,I think I'll come back sir.” Luke ran out of the room.

I sighed as I watched Tasha rub her face in agony.I didn't know where to start but didn't want her to be scared of me.

“Oh goodness.” She murmured.

“I'm sorry Tasha,I had to hide my identity that night. And I'm glad I met you again, I'm really sorry for leaving you that way.” I explained but she kept quiet.

Her silence was killing me.

“Who were you on the run from?” Remembering how she was on the run.

“I…I” She hesitated and I didn't want to push her.

“It's okay if you can't tell me now.” I assured her and she sighed in relief.

“Tasha, do you know that you are pregnant?” I picked up her heartbeat,she was scared.

“Who is the father of the child Tasha?”

“Tasha?” I called softly.

“It's okay, you can tell me anything.” I locked my hands with her in assurance.

“I'm sorry.” Tears flowed from her eyes.

She wiped it off “The father of my baby is dead.”

My heart clenched when I found out that the baby isn't mine but I masked my expression and comforted Tasha.

“I'm sorry.” I hugged her.

And she bursted into tears after she was done crying,she pulled away from the hug as if she remembered something important.

“I’m sorry Alpha,I shouldn't have done that.” She bowed.

“Please call me Ryan.” I didn't want her using honorifics.

“Can…I…please stay in the pack for some time till I figure out myself?” Tasha asked.

“You want to stay here?” I arched my eyebrows.

“If it's not possible, I'll leave as soon as the doctor clears me.” She said in a sad tone.

“Are you kidding?” I chuckled. “Of course you can stay for as long as you want.”

“Thank you Alpha Ryan.”

“Ryan.” I corrected and she smiled.

“Thank you Ryan.” She said softly.

Tasha and I chatted for awhile before I left the hospital for some reason she avoided the topic of her pack and her mate. I didn't want to ask her if the father of the child was her mate or someone else but she claimed the man was dead. Luke said something about her surgery and that he wanted it to be after a week.

The surgery was to mend her broken bone. I instructed Luke to pay extra attention to her health now that she was carrying a child.

“Liam, I need you to get some new furniture for the guest room.” I told Liam in the dining room.

“We have a guest?” Connor asked.

“Tasha will be staying in the pack house.” I answered and Connor frowned.

“Who is Tasha?” Lisa asked.

Lisa was having a hard time eating because of her broken arm. Why on earth will she wrestle with Dante?

“She is a friend.”

Liam and Dante chuckled and Xavier elbowed them.Lisa shifted in her seat and I knew she wanted to ask more questions.

“When is she coming? Is she like your girlfriend?”

“Lisa” I called.

“My bad” she pursed her lips. “Is she nice?” She asked again.

“I don't think it's a good thing bringing her in here.” Connor spoke up and I rolled my eyes.

“You just met her,she might be working for the rogues.” He said and I growled slowly.

“She needs help Connor and I will definitely help her.” I retorted and he kept quiet.

“Do you need my help?” Xavier asked.

Xavier and the rest were in support but I would have a hard time convincing Connor that Tasha isn't what he thinks she is.

“Thank you Xavier, you can just help Liam with the moving of the furniture Lisa will handle the arrangement and decorations.” I explained and Lisa giggled.

“What about me?” Dante frowned. “I'm not going to do anything for your girlfriend.” He smirked.

“She isn't my girlfriend,she is a friend who needs my help.” I wanted them to treat her with respect and not like an Omega.

“Yeah yeah.” Dante sang and I shook my head.

“When is she coming?” Xavier asked.

“Apparently she needs surgery as soon as Luke clears her she will move in.”

The chair screeched and we all looked up to see Connor walking out angrily. Xavier looked at me and I shrugged,he will come around with time.
