Chapter 20

Ryan's POV

“Connor spilled tea on himself and-” Tasha tried to explain but I cut her short.

“It's not your duty!” I went to drag her away from Connor's side.

I was angry I had to push my wolf back,he didn't like the fact that Tasha was touching another man.

“Stop being possessive, I'm not like Dante.” Connor hissed and I growl.

“Ryan….you…are hurting me.” Tasha winced.

I released my grip on her hand which was now red. She looked at me but before she could say a word I dragged her out of Connor's room.

“Why were you touching him?” I asked when we were outside.

“I was just helping him clean before his wound get scared.” She huffed.

I held my nose bridge and sighed. “Why were you in his room the first place?”

“Lisa asked me to take his breakfast to him, since he couldn't walk around!” She was getting angry.

“You shouldn't-” I was about to reprimand her when Dante and Liam popped out.

“Xavier said you found the hotel?”

“Yeah.” I answered.

“I'll be in my room.” Tasha walked away angrily.

“What's up with her?” Liam asked.

“It's Nothing, we will talk in the car.” I walked out and they followed suit.

Xavier was in the car already he sat in the driver's seat, I sat beside the driver's seat while Dante and Liam sat at the passenger seat.Xavier reversed and drove out of the house to the Apex hotel.

“Have anything idea what we might find?” Liam asked.

I had thought about it and I have no idea what we might find.

“i have no idea Liam but we should all be on guard no matter what we find there.”

The drive to the hotel was about an hour we had almost reached the outskirts of the city. Dante was right about the hotel not being a popular one.

There was this sensation i could feel coming from my men. It was the aura of excitement and the fear and I guess they were excited to torture whoever brought the rogues in and on the other side they were scared if we would win or not.

“Who lodges here?” Dante shivered, when we reached the hotel.

“We'll see.” I unbuckled my seat belt and came out of the car.

They all came down, Xavier opened the bag of weapons and distributed the knives, guns,stakes,tasers and the grenades.

We entered the hotel, went over to the receptionist who was alarmed by our presence.

“The key to Room 8!” Liam ordered.

“I .. can't do that…the room is taken.” She stuttered.

“I WON'T ASK AGAIN!!” Liam pointed a gun and she screamed.

She scrambled around and brought out a bunch of keys,removed one and passed it to him. We turned to leave but three security men emerged and I glanced at the woman who folded her hands.

“She called them.” I told the rest.

Liam and Dante was about to attack the men but I stopped them. If we cause a scene we would easily alert the person we were looking for. I walked up to them and brought out my gold tally in which the Alpha symbol was imprinted on it.

“Alpha!” They bowed in shock.

“Take us to room 8.” I kept my tally in my pocket.

“I thought you said we are maintaining a low profile.” Xavier whispered as the men led us to the room.

“We are.” I replied.

I will order them not to say a word about what happened, the elders are always snooping around I'm sure they had someone on my trail. We got to the front of the room and Liam kicked the door open.

“You should have just used the key.” I rolled my eyes and walked in.

“What,we needed to make a grand entrance.” He shrugged and Xavier hissed.

The room was dark but we could see perks of being a werewolf.One of the men switched on the light,we searched everywhere everyone at high alert.

Our eyes darted to the wardrobe when we heard a sound of rustle movement,I sped to the wardrobe open it I was about to shoot when I heard a child sob. I lowered my gun and pocket it.

“What in there?” Xavier came closer.

“A child.” I bent down to check.

As soon as I bent down she jumped on me and hugged me,she bursted into tears and I was soon surrounded by my men.

“A girl!” Dante yelled.

“How on earth did she let the rogues in,she got super powers or something?” Liam paced around.

“You guys are scaring the girl!” Xavier scolded them when the girl increased her tears.

“What's your name?” I placed her on the bed, when she had calmed down.

“Daisy.” She looked down at her feet which was dangling.

“How old are you Daisy?” I asked calmly.

“Five.” She looked at me.

I pursed my lips and stood up,I rubbed my hands in my face as I tried to hold in the growl that was about to escape from my mouth.

“Alpha.” The secure men came forward. “We are sorry to interrupt but we heard when you were talking about the rouges-” They looked at me to see if they could go on.

“One of you should do the explanation.” I told them.

“What we are trying to say is the little girl might not be the one you are looking for.” He paused and then continued. “Her father is,we found his late night movement suspicious and informed the manger about it but he did nothing.”

“I guess he was paid handsomely.” The other man added.

So in other words the rouge didn't give us the wrong information. But the room was empty,no luggage or trash in the waste bin which means he hasn't been around.

“Where is your father?” Liam asked the girl but she didn't respond.

“Let me.” I motioned for him to step aside.

“Daisy.” I bent down. “Where is your dad?” I rubbed her tangled hair.

“He went to see mommy.” She bowed her head.

“This is not helping.” Dante tapped his feet impatiently.

He was right but we couldn't just torture the girl,we have to wait around for the man to show up.

“Daisy.” I sighed. “Do you know your dad's name?” I tried again.

I didn't want to push her she is innocent in the mess her father or mother caused.

“His name is Tyson West.”

“Tyson West!” Liam looked me.

“Tyson West is the head of patrol guards!”
