Chapter 18

I sat there staring at the monitors they started beating erratically, I pressed our button and then grabbed Dereck’s hand hoping that our bond will help steady his heart but it seemed that it was not helping. “Where the fuck are the damn doctors at?”

Just as I said that the doctor came barreling with a syringe filled with a pink fluid in a syringe. I waited watching my mate starting to convulse on the other side of the bed. Not being able to help in any way other than holding his hand in hopes that our bond would help calm him. The doctor inserted the needle into his iv line closest to his hand and gently pushed the plunger until the fluid was completely gone. The nurse handed the doctor another syringe with clear fluid in it and they pushed in through the same spot as the pink fluid.

We waited a few moments and he slowly stopped convulsing, “Was the antidote?”

The doctor checked his vitals before responding, “Yes Luna I then followed the antidote with saline to push it through
