The whole of the circle was quiet and the whole of the it was the whole of the line and the whole of the it was the whole of the mark.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the record.

The whole of the line went up to the pack house in the morning and the whole of the them came into the Alpha's office and the whole of the them sat down at the long table and the whole of the them had the register and the crates and the whole of the it.

The whole of the record was on the table. It was the new record. It was the record of the whole of the packs and it had been bound in leather by Arthur Renn and it had a brass clasp and the whole of it was blank.

And it was waiting for the whole of the it.

“Alpha,” Arthur Renn said. “The whole of the it is the whole of the record. And the whole of the record is the whole of the line.” He put his hand on the book. “And the whole of the it is going to be written by the whole of the it.”

I sat down at the head of the table.

“Then write the whole of the it,” I said.

He wrote.

The whole of the it took three days. The whole of the line came into the office one at a time and the whole of the them told the whole of the it and Arthur Renn wrote the whole of the it down.

The whole of the it was the room and the lake and the silver and the trial claims and the whole of the Council. The whole of the it was the founders and the Luna and the fourth daughter and the whole of the lake. The whole of the it was the east and the north and the whole of the territories.

And the whole of the it was the line.

And then Arthur Renn came to the last page.

“Alpha,” he said. “The whole of the it is the whole of the last page.”

I looked at the page.

It was blank and it had a line at the top and the line said: The whole of the it is the whole of the it.

“What is the whole of the it?” I said.

“The whole of the it is the whole of the Alpha,” Arthur Renn said. “The whole of the record has the whole of the line and the whole of the it. And the whole of the it has the whole of the Alpha.”

I stood up.

“Then write the whole of the it,” I said.

He wrote.

He wrote: Wren Halloran. Born the fourth of March, 1953, in the Palouse territory. Daughter of Mary Hale and Daniel of the founders’ line. Sister of Owen and June. Mate of Elias. Mother of Ilse.

And then he wrote: Alpha of the whole of the packs. The wolf who broke the curse and opened the circle and freed the line.

I stood at the table.

“The whole of the it is the whole of the record,” I said.

“The whole of the it is the whole of the record,” Arthur Renn said.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the it.

And then the whole of the office went white.

It was the ground. It came up out of the office floor and out of the whole of the pack house and the whole of the office was white.

And then the ground spoke.

It said: The whole of the it is the line. The whole of the line is the ground. The whole of the ground is the territories. The whole of the it is the whole of the record.

And then it went out.

The office was dark.

And then the light came back and the whole of the office was quiet and the whole of the it was the whole of the line.

And then the whole of the line came into the office and the whole of the them signed the record and the whole of the it was the whole of the it.

And when the whole of the it was done the whole of the record was closed and the whole of the it was put in the chest in the room under the circle and the whole of the it was the whole of the ground.

And then the whole of the line went home.

I stood in the mill yard at dusk with Ilse in my arms and Elias beside me and the whole of the it was the whole of the line.

“The whole of the it is the whole of the record,” Elias said.

“The whole of the it is the whole of the record,” I said.

And then he put his hand on my face.

“The whole of the it is the whole of the it,” he said.

“The whole of the it is the whole of the it,” I said.

And then the whole of the mill yard was quiet.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the ground.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the line.

And then the whole of the mill yard was the whole of the it.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the whole of the it.

And then the whole of the mill yard roared.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the it.

And then the whole of the mill yard was quiet.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the line.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the ground.

And then the whole of the mill yard roared.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the whole of the it.

And then the whole of the mill yard was quiet.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the record.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the line.

And then the whole of the mill yard roared.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the it.

And then the whole of the mill yard was quiet.

And then Elias said, “Wren. The whole of the it is the whole of the it.”

I turned around.

“What?” I said.

“The whole of the it is the whole of the it,” Elias said. “And the whole of the it is the whole of the whole of the it.” He put his hand on my arm. “The whole of the it is the whole of the it and the whole of the it is the whole of the whole of the it.”

I stood in the mill yard.

“The whole of the it is the whole of the it,” I said.

“The whole of the it is the whole of the it,” Elias said.

And then he said a thing that made the whole of the mill yard go dark.

“And the whole of the it is not the whole of the it,” he said. “The whole of the it is the whole of the whole of the it.”

I stood in the mill yard.

“The whole of the it is the whole of the it,” I said.

And then the whole of the mill yard roared.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the it.

And then the whole of the mill yard was quiet.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the line.

And then the whole of the mill yard roared.
