Chapter 196: The New Pack

The whole of the circle roared and the whole of the it was the whole of the line and the whole of the it was the whole of the ground.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the whole of the it.

The Alpha of the Alphas stood on the flat stone with his staff in his hand and the whole of him was the whole of the it.

"Alpha," he said. "The whole of the it is the whole of the line and the whole of the line is the whole of the ground and the whole of the ground is the whole of the territories." He put his staff on the stone. "And the whole of the territories is not the whole of the Council and the whole of the Council is not the whole of the territories. The whole of the territories is the whole of the line."

I stood in the circle.

"The whole of the it is the whole of the line," I said.

"The whole of the it is the whole of the line," the Alpha of the Alphas said. "And the whole of the line is the whole of the packs." He put his hand on his chest. "And the whole of the packs is going to be the whole of the it."

He put his hand in his coat and took out a paper.

"This is the whole of the it," he said. "It is the charter of the whole of the packs. It is not the Council's charter. It is not the east's charter. It is the charter of the whole of the line and the whole of the ground and the whole of the territories." He put the paper on the stone. "And the whole of the it is going to be signed by the whole of the packs and the whole of the territories and the whole of the line."

I stood in the circle.

"And the whole of the Alpha?" I said.

"The whole of the Alpha is the whole of the it," the Alpha of the Alphas said. "The whole of the charter says the whole of the packs is one pack and the whole of the one pack is the whole of the it. And the whole of the one pack is going to have one Alpha."

The whole of the circle was silent.

"And the whole of the one Alpha is the whole of the it," the Alpha of the Alphas said. "And the whole of the it is the whole of the line and the whole of the line is the whole of the ground and the whole of the ground is the whole of the it." He put his staff on the stone. "And the whole of the one Alpha is you."

I stood in the circle.

"The whole of the it is the whole of the line," I said.

"The whole of the it is the whole of the line," the Alpha of the Alphas said.

And then the whole of the circle roared.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the line.

And then the whole of the circle went white.

It was the ground. It came up out of the flat stone and out of the whole of the circle and the whole of the circle was white.

And then the ground spoke.

It said: The whole of the it is the line. The whole of the line is the ground. The whole of the ground is the territories. The whole of the it is the whole of the one pack.

And then it went out.

The circle was dark.

And then the light came back and the whole of the circle was quiet and the whole of the it was the whole of the line.

And then the whole of the line came into the circle and the whole of the pack and the whole of the territories and the whole of the east and the whole of the them stood around the flat stone and the whole of the them signed the charter.

The whole of the it took four hours.

And when the whole of the it was done the whole of the circle was quiet and the whole of the it was the whole of the line.

And then the Alpha of the Alphas put his staff on the stone.

"The whole of the it is signed," he said. "The whole of the packs is one pack and the whole of the one pack is the whole of the line and the whole of the Alpha is Wren Halloran."

The whole of the circle roared.

I stood on the flat stone with Ilse in my arms and Elias beside me and the whole of the line around me.

And the whole of the it was the whole of the line.

And then I put Ilse in June's arms and I stepped down off the flat stone and I stood in the middle of the circle with my hands at my sides.

"Packs," I said. "The whole of the it is one pack. Not the Circle Pack and not the Palouse and not the north and not the east. The whole of the it is one pack and the whole of the it is the whole of the line." I put my hand on my chest. "And the whole of the it is going to be the whole of the it."

The whole of the circle roared.

"And there is a thing about the whole of the it," I said. "The whole of the it is not the whole of the it and the whole of the it is not the whole of the Council. The whole of the it is the whole of the pack and the whole of the pack is the whole of the ground and the whole of the ground is the whole of the it." I put my hand on my chest. "And the whole of the it is going to be the whole of the whole of the it."

The whole of the circle roared.

And then the whole of the circle was quiet.

And then Elias said, "Wren. The whole of the it is the whole of the it."

I turned around.

"What?" I said.

"The whole of the it is the whole of the it," Elias said. "And the whole of the it is the whole of the whole of the it." He put his hand on my arm. "The whole of the it is the whole of the it and the whole of the it is the whole of the whole of the it."

I stood in the circle.

"The whole of the it is the whole of the it," I said.

"The whole of the it is the whole of the it," Elias said.

And then he said a thing that made the whole of the circle go dark.

"And the whole of the it is not the whole of the it," he said. "The whole of the it is the whole of the whole of the it."

I stood in the circle.

"The whole of the it is the whole of the it," I said.

And then the whole of the circle roared.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the it.

And then the whole of the circle was quiet.

And then the whole of the it was the whole of the line.

And then the whole of the circle roared.
