As I and V4 walk deeper into the cave giving Rookie and Girly some space. Hopefully, Rookie can calm her down and get her to help us. Holy magic is good when it isn't aimed at me.

" Why are you hanging with humans? I thought you hated humans. "

V4 asks me as he watches Rookie touches her shoulder to bring her out of her shocked and frozen state.

" I do! But Misaki is hiding her son amongst the humans. It's really hard finding him without interacting with those horrid humans."

I cursed softly to him as we wait for Girly.

" It's a pity since they really depend on you."

V4 sighs at my side while keeping an eye on them.

" Humans are sickening, they turn on each other as soon as money, fame, or both shows up."

" Not all humans are like that."

" Really? Who?"

" That Girl?"

" She's a Copper rank that's teamed up with a man whom I quote " Ha! Should have known!! He came in crying about greenhorns begin slaughtered by weak goblins!"

" Just because she's fri
