The Rescue

"Tonight's gonna be your first dinner meeting since entering the company, you don't look excited." Ella raised a brow at Fate who is still in the middle of sorting out some documents in her desk.

"It's just dinner." Fate just shrugged.

Following Daxton's advice the other week, Fate took the first move and apologized to Ella with a box of her home-made cookies. Turned out Ella had been dying to apologize as well but just doesn't know how. They talked over their differences and apologized to each other. Fate also went out of her way to apologize to their co-workers she may have acted a little too much with.

Ever since that day, however, Ella and Fate had been closer and more comfortable with each other's company. And the former would often come visit Fate in her office to chat at least once a day.  

"I'm just saying, I've never been on a dinner meeting with a company president before."

"Isn't Director Williams a company president himself?"
