Lian's POV

We quickly sat down at the dining table, which was wooden. There wasn’t really a proper dining table for us, but even this was better than nothing.

As we were eating, that same girl who had messed with us earlier came there. When she arrived, I thought she was here to eat.

But she passed from behind me. I hadn’t noticed her at first, but from the corner of my left eye, I realized she was standing right behind me.

I glanced back, and indeed she was there, standing with her arms folded near her chest. I really didn’t understand what this foolish girl wanted from me now.

“What?” I asked her.

When I asked, her eyes stayed on me, and she remained in the same position. I was about to say more, but before I could, Eva stood up from her chair and moved beside the girl.

“What exactly is your problem? Are you, by any chance, jealous of us? Is that why you’re always looking for an opportunity to fight with us? I’ve endured enough of your bullshit, but neither I nor Lian are going to tolerate anything anymore,” Eva said bluntly.

“What? Who is jealous of dogs like you? You both aren’t even going to pass the exam anyway,” that girl said.

Her words really made me want to hit her right now. How the hell was she trying to curse us like that? Please, God, don’t listen to her.

“Eva, don’t pay attention to this leech. She just wants our attention. Come and have lunch first,” I said.

Eva smiled when she heard me. She sat down, but not before looking that girl up and down from head to toe.

Once we continued eating, that girl left. I really didn’t understand why she even bothered to come in the first place if she was just going to leave like that.

Eva and I exchanged a glance as the girl walked away. Just then, other students came in to eat as well. After sitting down, they smiled at us. It was strange,Eva and I were both really shocked.

“What’s happening? Why are they smiling at us? Did the sun rise from the north today?” I whispered into Eva’s ear.

She nodded. We both finished our lunch and went back to the second floor, then lay down on our beds. We were both tired, but I wanted to switch off the lights because I like to sleep in the dark. Otherwise, the light hurts my eyes.

I glanced around. After lunch, almost everyone was on their beds, and some of them had already lain down. Eva and I were the same. Just then, a guy stood up and switched off the lights.

Thank God he did. I was happy. I quickly tucked myself into the blanket and closed my eyes.

I woke up directly in the evening after that. I knew I was tired for no real reason, but sleeping in the afternoon was the best thing.

Even if I sleep for hours in the afternoon, I still get sleepy at night. Some people can’t sleep early at night if they’ve slept a lot in the afternoon.

But it’s different for me. I can sleep in the afternoon and still sleep just as well at night.

After that, we just lurked around, had dinner, and then fell asleep again.

That day passed in the blink of an eye. The next day, I was standing in front of our quarter while Eva was still getting ready.

It was good that the quarters provided some clothes, so I wore them all the time, they even included some innerwear.

But I would need money soon. As I was thinking, Eva came out, and we both went to check our results.

When we reached the academy billboard, we saw the results for the welfare program students already posted on the board.

I was nervous to look, but Eva had already started scanning the list of names.

“Eva, check my results too. I’m so nervous, I can’t look,” I said.

She nodded. Other students were also checking the results. Meanwhile, I stood there, waiting. After a few minutes, Eva came to me, her face down. It made me worry.

“Eva, what happened?” I asked.

“I passed the exam,” she said. I was really happy and pulled her into a hug. “Congratulations, my girl! What about me?” I asked.

She broke the hug and looked at me hesitantly, then finally said, “I checked the whole list. Your name is not on it. Those who didn’t pass the exam have their names here with ‘Failed’ written ahead of their name, but your name isn’t on the list.”

I was shocked, my whole body felt frozen. I didn’t know what to say. My name wasn’t on the list. Did that mean they hadn’t qualified me for passing or failing? Were they just directly telling me to leave?

I was overthinking when Eva shook me.

“Dude, what are you thinking? Let’s go to Sir Grey. We need to ask him,” she said.

I nodded, and we both went inside the teacher’s office.

Sir Grey was busy with something on his laptop when we reached him.

“Sir, why isn’t Lian’s name on the list of exam results?” Eva asked directly.

Sir Grey glanced at me, then looked around before speaking.

“Actually, Lian, you were put on the waiting list by Sir Jack. So you’ll have to ask him what happened, why your name was transferred to the waiting list.”

Wait, Sir Jack did this? Did he check our papers too? I had a bad feeling right now, like something very bad was going to happen.

“But sir, whether Lian passed or failed, shouldn’t he have the right to know that before being put on the waiting list? And I’ve never heard of anyone’s name being put on a waiting list before. Why now?” Eva asked.

“Eva, it wasn’t me. The papers were split between the teachers, and Lian’s paper went to Sir Jack. He decided to put Lian’s name on the waiting list. We don’t know anything beyond that, and he hasn’t come to the office yet.”

Hearing this, my head started to ache. What? I had been put on the waiting list by that Jack. I hadn’t felt comfortable around him since yesterday, and indeed, he was a suspicious person.

Lian's POV I quickly turned around and saw a chest. I glanced up and saw Andrew there."Where are you rushing off to in such a hurry, Lian?""Oh, Andrew! I was going to the dorm. And you are here because of the carnival, right?"He nods at my words and then lets go of my hand while smiling. Looking at him, I remembered that I am so close to these four brothers without even knowing anything about them. And I don't feel uncomfortable with them either. It's like they are someone very close to me."Well, I was here as the alpha of the pack, but I wanted to meet you. That's why I was about to ask someone about your dorm room, but then I saw you, surprisingly," he said.I smiled. "I am glad to hear that, and if you haven't had lunch yet, do you want to eat with me in the cafeteria? We have such delicious food these days in the cafeteria. Well, meals are always delicious in the cafeteria."I replied while thinking about the food. I had breakfast alone today since the twins were not talking

Lian's POV As I asked them, they both glanced at each other and then smiled. But I was still confused."Nick, it's your fault. You had to state those words, so explain to Lian now, on your own now," Jack said. And he comes and stands by my side while looking at Nick. And Nick stands there thinking for a few minutes, then finally Nick looks up and moves forward. As he came towards me, his smile disappeared, and he wore a serious expression. What I found out from him was truly unexpected.I hadn't thought it could be true: that the twins loved me, not as a joke, but for real. And even Jack, too, I think that's why he kissed me that day.Since the three of them loved me, they decided to ask for my opinion as to whom I loved the most. They wanted to leave the decision to me.But I was more shocked to learn that Jack was the twins' older brother. This means he was the second brother among those four. That's why Jack hadn't shown his face to anyone this whole year with his brothers. He sta

Lian's POV As the race began, I honestly thought Arin would run fast, but no, he was slower than a snail. The moment he started running, he tripped and his face greeted the ground. It was so funny that I bit my lip, curling it inward, trying to stop myself from laughing… but I still ended up laughing anyway.Everyone else was sprinting ahead. Just then, I saw Arin standing right in front of me, glaring. His expression clearly showed how furious he was.“What?” I asked. The way he was looking at me was already irritating enough.“You were laughing at me, you bitch. Have you forgotten your place? How dare you laugh at me?”I rolled my eyes. How dare I? As if I was scared of him or something.“Arin, you’re beneath me. Did you forget how you always wanted whatever was mine? You like trash I’ve used, don’t you?”After saying that, I realized the twins were standing on either side of me. They must have heard me, of course they did. They’re going to ask questions now… and I really don’t wan

Lian's POV I stood up from the chair and glanced at Mick.“Where should we go now?” I asked.I didn’t know what to do next or where to go. There were plenty of competitions that were going to take place today, and today was only the first round. Whoever won would move to the second round, then the third, followed by the semi‑finals and finals. This arrangement was for the sports competition. Both Mick and Nick stood up as well.“We’re going to the ground right away. The competitions will start soon,” Nick said, sliding his mobile into his pocket.I smiled at Nick. He started walking out from the row of chairs. Mick followed behind him, and I walked right after Mick. But just then, my hand was suddenly grabbed from behind, making me halt. I glanced back and saw Arin was the one holding my hand. His eyes weren’t on me; he was looking at the twins instead.“What the hell is your problem?” I asked, jerking my hand out of his grip.I stepped out from the chair and stood facing him, glarin

Lian's POV In the while when I woke up, I realized I was lying on a bed. The sound of someone talking was reaching my ears, but my eyes kept closing again and again, so I couldn’t see whose voice it was.I blinked a few times to clear my vision and saw Nick and Mick sitting on each side of me.Just then, I remembered everything, how I had begged Jack to touch me because I was having a hard time… and how Jack and I kissed.I remembered that kiss very well. He was kissing me as if he wanted to devour me alive. But I did it, I kissed Jack. I had never thought, not even in my dreams, that I would do something like that with him. But honestly… that kiss was really good. For the first time in my life, I felt that a kiss could be this good. My cheeks flushed just thinking about it.“Kitty, you’re awake! I was worried about you. Thank God you’re awake now!” Nick said.I glanced at him. Nick was looking at me with a worried expression.“Nick, Mick, what are you both doing here?” I asked.Mick

  • The Omega They Can’t Resist   45. Carnival- 3

Jack's POV Things had been hectic since morning because the carnival was starting today. I had been busy from the moment I woke up. After getting ready, I began arranging everything.I wanted to meet Lian too. It felt like I was missing him, not the way I missed my brothers, but in a completely different way. My heart ached whenever I didn’t see him.But he was my student. It was wrong to have such thoughts about him. Very wrong. I had been feeling like this for the past few months, and it was as if I had fallen for him. My feelings only kept increasing with time.Whenever I touched him while teaching dance moves, I wanted to pin him down so badly, to see him beneath me, crying and begging. And now, while I was inspecting everything today, I found Lian. The moment he saw me, he started crying. While hugging me, he glanced up, not realizing that his words and those teary eyes had already fired me up.
