Judy's POV
I looked at myself in the mirror after the maids already dressed me for the ball at the Alpha's mansion. It would technically be my engagement with the new Alpha Alexander. It was no news to me anymore, as my grandfather had already discussed it with me. And although I wasn't really open to the idea, I couldn't risk putting my family to shame after my sister, who was supposed to be doing this instead, eloped with her boyfriend.
A sigh escaped my lips as I looked at the princess like silver dress I've been asked to wear.
I walked down the hallway and walked past a slightly opened door and I clenched my gloved hands. That was Sofia's room. Sofia should be the one marrying Alexander and now I have to be the one to marry him.
Sofia escaped with her fiance, John the previous week since she was told they would be calling their engagement off for her childhood friend, Alpha Alexander to get engaged to her but she escaped and then Morgan broke up with me.
What a matching tragedy.
I walked down the grand stairs where grandfather was sitting on his wheelchair with Madam Isabel standing right next to him.
"You look beautiful lavender." Grandfather complimented and i smiled and all Madam Isabel did was turn for us to leave. I didn't say a thing and just took grandfather from the maid pushing his wheelchair.
"I know this won't be easy for you Lavender because you're in love with Morgan but with Sofia missing, time is running out and the Luna must be choosen from our family because we've agreed to it." Grandfather said and I just rolled my eyes. I hated this arranged marriage with passion and I wasn't ready to deal with it but what choice do I have?
I have to do whatever grandfather says or he might change his mind and throw me back to my wicked parents in Blood Moon pack.
"Take the new car lavender." Grandfather said as his personal assistant took him from me and I obeyed.
My thoughts was clouded as we drove towards the pack mansion. I don't know what Alexander would look like and I was sure he would be one of those spoiled brat kids because he was returning from abroad to come and take over the position.
How will I even deal with it when he realizes I'm no longer innocent and already have a one night stand with a stranger. Grandfather would be so disappointed in me and he might send me back to Blood Moon pack.
My scared thought was interrupted by the car halting and then I realized we've gotten to the ball. So early? I got out of the car with the guard taking my gloved hands and I walked towards grandfather and Madam Isabel.
"Help your grandfather Judy." Madam Isabel ordered and I hurriedly took over what she asked me to do. The cameras flashed brightly as we walked down the carpet into the large building.
I wasn't really used to this big parties because I opted to stay back in the house whenever I was invited and grandfather never minds but it irked Madam Isabel and it was always obvious it did.
"Old man Ravenstone." I heard a much older voice and I saw the Alpha standing before us.
"Quinn." Grandfather flashed him a bright smile and the Luna hugged Madam Isabel gently. "This is Judy. She is the one who would be getting married to Alexander."
"Isn't she your Omega granddaughter?" Luna Quinn said looking at me with a raised brow and a very not plain eyes. I was used to the stares everyone gave me because I wasn't perfect. I was an Omega after all and a very weak one.
"Yes she is my granddaughter." Grandfather said and Alpha Quinn looked at me from head to toe.
"Sofia would have been much better if she didn't decide to go with John. Alexander still loves her so much." Alpha Quinn said as I f I wasn't there at all and Madam Isabel butted in.
"Of course, Sofia is much beautiful than her but we don't know Sofia's whereabouts and she should be the one next in line after Sofia because she's A Ravenstone." Madam Isabel said and all Luna Quinn did was fluter her fan with pride before hugging Madam Isabel again then she walked away with her husband.
It shattered my heart that they were both looking down on me, despite the fact that I recieve it everytime from people and I've been trying my best to be strong but it wasn't my fault that I was born weak, was it?
"Stay close lavender, Alpha Alexander would be arriving very soon." Grandfather said and I hummed before walking towards the dessert table to have something to eat. It was dinner time and I had nothing yet so it was necessary to Isabel muscle for whoever and however this Alexander may look or be like or act like.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another Alpha crowning ceremony of the Silver Moon pack. I'm sure half of us were here when Alpha Quinn mounted the throne of power to continue our past Alpha's reign. Now, today, we crown our new alpha and get him his new bride." The whole hall echoed with applauds and I was forced to clap my hands too with my face fixed on the grad stars where the new Alpha would be stepping out from.
"Now, Alpha Alexander had returned from abroad and it is the right time for him to take the throne from his father and rule by example like his father has been ruling us all these years." The whole hall was filled with applauds again.
"Without wasting much time, let's welcome, Alpha Alexander."
I immediately felt like the air was knocked out of my lungs as I looked at the so called Alpha Alexander show himself. Pinch me, Slap me, throw me away. I had a one night stand with the freaking alpha and he is also my husband to be. And that wasn't the only shocking thing.
That scent, it was amazingly intoxicating. I could feel my whole sense highten and this kind of euphoria, I've never felt it before in my entire existence.
"Mate!"
Alexander's POVThe thought of me not getting married to Sofia made me furious but the day had to go well with nothing going wrong. It was my chance to finally prove myself that I can handle the affairs of a pack and I am ready for it. I was quite excited when that omega didn't notice we were mates but I should have just used her right there to make sure they don't make me marry a substitute bride from the Ravenstone family. I was surprised when I saw the same lady who was in my bed yesterday staring at me like she's seen a ghost. Immediately I was crowned, I began greeting everyone around with my eyes not leaving her direction and she was definitely staring at me in surprise too. "Meet me on the balcony." I mind linked her immediately due to the access I have as an alpha and she definitely didn't have her link connection protected from outside voices. I walked to the balcony and in after a few minutes, she joined me on the balcony. "Don't tell me you're stalking me." I brought my
Bitingly cold winds buffeted against the stony walls that surrounded ThunderClan's camp. Thick clops of snow fell upon the ground, making the air feel even colder if it was possible. It was leafbare, and every cat that lived beside the lake could feel the icy claws that effected the Clans.A flake of snow landed on Flamekit's nose as he stood outside the nursery. He squealed in surprise at the sudden cold that chilled him to the bone. Lilykit and Shrewkit, his siblings, peered outside the nursery to see what their brother was up to. Flamekit was always looking for ways to get himself into trouble. Just yesterday he had tried to leave with the dawn patrol. Luckily his father Oakfire had found him before he could get too far. The day before he had found an interesting looking leaf outside Dusknose's den. The old medicine cat had been so furious that he was confined to the nursery for the rest of that day.Now Flamekit was outside once again, avoiding his siblings and enjoying the cold w
Living alone was never an easy task in a world where anything could happen. When kits were involved, one rogue queen had discovered this the hard way. The rogue had built a den far enough from Twoleg dens and the lake area where the Clans lived. She had been hoping to give her kits the best possible start she could. They deserved that much when their father disappeared on them. But she knew that she was being ambitious in thinking she could raise all three of her kits. All three of them were only just beginning to develop personalities. Her eldest kit – a beautifully dark black she-kit with vivid green eyes – had so much more potential than her siblings. Frost had been watching them affectionately, knowing that one day they would wander off and begin their own lives. She had to appreciate them while she could; this was her first litter after all.Unfortunately, Smoke had other intentions in mind. She was snuggled into her mother's warm belly, allowing that warmth to wrap around her li
Sprucekit loved the morning sun. It felt warm against her thin pelt. A few clouds drifted by as fierce winds pulled at her fur. The day was going to be cold. With leafbare in full swing the Clan was trying to keep warm by huddling together during the coldest nights. Being the only kit in the nursery meant that Sprucekit had more attention than usual from both her mother and Palemist, a queen who was close to giving birth. The tiny kit remembered what Larksong had told her about her father. Leopardheart had been brave and foolish at the same time. He gave his life defending the Clan honorably. The Clan still mourned over his death, especially Larksong.I wish I knew what he looked like, Sprucekit thought as she stretched out her back. She knew very little about what Leopardheart looked like. Larksong only told Sprucekit stories about the battles that her father had fought in."Hey Sprucekit, I brought you something to eat!"Sprucekit's ears pricked forward when she heard Antpaw approac
Jealousy coursed through the young kit as he watched behind the screen of lichen. In front of him were three young apprentices that were preparing to leave for their training. They were allowed to leave the camp, while he was stuck inside the boring old nursery. While his sisters were busy playing their usual games of tag or 'catch the mouse', he watched the camp with envy. One day he would join those apprentices and become a proud warrior of RiverClan. His claws sheathed and unsheathed at the thought. There were times when he wished that Minnowstar would give them their ceremony early. He'd heard stories about it happening with kits before, but they didn't usually end well. Most of those kits had suffered because they were thrown into the pit of battle too young.I wouldn't let anyone touch my pelt if it ever came to that, he told himself silently. He'd already shown some progress by trying to fish in the tiny stream that trickled behind the nursery. When Ashfang figured out what he
Claws dug into the cold ground as Birdkit struggled to keep her grip. Her tail swayed back and forth while her mother tried to hold her down. The buffeting wind didn't help the large Clan as they traveled north. Though Birdkit didn't understand the directions they had chosen she did understand the urgency of their journey. The Clan had left when she was strong enough to make it on her own. As an only kit in the nursery it had been difficult providing happiness for herself or her mother. Now the Clan had been forced to leave as their home was invaded by rogues from Twolegplace. Birdkit had seen them the night the Clan left. They were big rogues that were bloodthirsty enough to take on an entire Clan. Emberstar didn't want to take any chances with the rogues, especially after the prophecy he had received from Dewstep. The Clan of sky must return to make five, Birdkit thought as she recalled what Dewstep had said. She wasn't even sure what those words meant, but they had sent chills down
Morning sunlight filtered through the nursery's entrance. Flamekit blinked open his eyes before stifling a yawn. Beside him he could feel Lilykit squirming as their mother groomed her. Today was their all important apprentice ceremony. Excitement coursed through Flamekit as he thought of who his mentor would be. There were so many choices to choose from. Stormshadow was brave and loyal to the Clan, but Shademask was one of the best fighters in the Clan.Maybe Petalstar would let the kits choose who their mentors would be. Flamekit doubted that was the case, but he could always hope. His claws sheathed and unsheathed as he studied the nest that Roseclaw had built for her kits. She was always trying to find new nesting material to keep them warm from the biting cold that leafbare provided.Flamekit had never minded the cold – he always told himself that enduring the cold was the warrior's way. Besides, he wasn't in any mood to listen to his mother fuss over the fact that he was letting
Wind buffeted against Smoke's fur as she followed her mother down the mountains. Why her mother had chosen to leave their nest during the coldest part of leafbare was beyond Smoke's imagination. She hated the cold weather and wished they were back in their small cave. At least being surrounded by her siblings had made her feel warm. Now they were vulnerable from attacks on either side and the cold. They were heading towards what Smoke's mother had called the Horseplace. Apparently it was a safer spot than the mountains could provide. Smoke wasn't even sure what a 'Horseplace' was or what it would look like when they got there. All she knew was that she and her siblings had been forced out in the open. And that thought left her feeling uneasy as she glanced over her shoulder at every noise she heard. She knew it was pointless to worry about every little noise.Predators could be lurking around every corner, she silently reminded herself. Or enemy Clan cats… do they even live in a place
