“Please let me go!” I cried to the guards that were watching over me but they turned deaf ears to my pleas.

I tried to struggle free from the plant but it was still too tight against me. My mind kept racing through what could possibly be their actual attack and my heart raced so much at the thought of the current state of the pack. What if Keegan wasn’t able to handle it?

Darion suddenly walked towards me with blood stains on his body as he checked them out.

“Darion,” I called, excited to at least see him. He lifted his gaze to me. “Please, save me from these people and plants. I can’t deal with this any longer.”

He dismissed the guards then walked a few more steps till he stopped in front of me with a sly smile. “Oh, sweetheart,” he said in a very deep and husky voice, running his hand over my face then chortled. “You thought I was so stupid?”
