Thirty-four

Scarlett had requested for me to bring her breakfast to her room. I knew it meant she had something to say. I headed to her bedroom and walked in after she permitted me to, serving her dinner on the table.

“So, I’m confused again. I feel like I sounded stupid for mentioning the anniversary to Keegan and asking him to act like my boyfriend, at the sane time. It didn’t make any sense, right?” Of course it didn’t! But there was no way I was saying that to her. “I ought to have said it in a more playful manner.” Her eyebrows were curled upwards in worry. “The party is soon and I don’t know what to do. How am I supposed to go there without him? My parents would think I’m crazy for deceiving them.” she rumbled.

“I’m sure it’ll be fine.” I had no idea on how I was supposed to help her, but I was glad she could confide in me.

“No way! I want Keegan to come with me.” She groaned, burying her head in a pillow. “Gosh, I’m so frustrated!”
