Startled, I turned to look at Brad, who quickly hid the glare he had been throwing our way under a mask of subtlety.

"Yes, Alpha." Conan's voice was cool, calm and collected, the very opposite of how I felt at that moment.

Despite the fact that he had assured me that Brad wouldn't retaliate, I was worried for several reasons.

One, Brad was still Alpha and Conan was his subject and Beta. I wouldn't put it Brad to try and make Conan's life miserable as much as he can.

Two, I was worried about what the events of the night meant for my plan. Trina's announcement of her pregnancy had thrown a wrench in things. I had been already battling feelings of guilt over my plan as it would wreck Trina's and Brad's relationship.
