Chapter Eleven.

Zorien’s POV.

Suddenly, she moves and I retract my claws and keep my face close behind her head. She realizes something restricting her from making a turn and instead of turning the other way and returning to sleep, she surprises me by continuously pushing against me.

“I see the pup I took in has festered enough. Return to sleep.”

Her shivering from my cold tone ceases after a few minutes and she’s breathing evenly again. I pull her close to me so easily that my eyes twitch. I expected her to have fattened up at least a little. Oh, Tess did say she had slept all day. What is wrong with me? Why should I even care about her health at all?

I press my nostrils against her hair, inhaling the rich lush greens and lavender...dang it, it’s too much of a pull even with my reinforced restraints. My other arm greedily digs beneath to wrap her torso, pulling her into my chest as I give in to her alluring delicate scent.

What do I do with this pup? On one hand, I want to end her life
