For February my update schedule isn't going to be everyday as I just cannot promise it. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday will be my update days for certain and I will have more than one chapter each time! Thank you for reading!
~Christian’s Point of View~ I watched helplessly through my wolf Scout’s eyes as the Omega was led away. The good news was that Liam didn’t accidentally kill her, but the bad news was that she was a million more times pissed off than before. And fuck if that didn’t turn me on. She was even more beautiful mad with her nose flared and her eyes narrowed, looking like she could burn the whole place down. There was probably something seriously wrong with me for how much I liked her like that. Being in her under clothes didn't hurt. Her skin was smooth and looked so soft. I couldn’t blame her a bit for being angry but we’re always led to believe that all the females who come here desperately want to be. Like its the highlight of their entire existence to find a shifter mate, which it should be. For her to keep saying it's a mistake and she’s leaving just punches me in the gut every time. *She is our female, I know it,* my wolf said, matter of fact. He sighed and kicked at the water a bi
~Daphne’s Point of View~ I watched as one of the biggest men I’d ever seen in my life playfully fed Gabby grapes and cooed at her as if she were a cat. Or a poodle. Some little animal. He had to be three times her size and I was desperate to know what kind of hybrid he was, though I was quickly learning that didn’t necessarily mean shifter. What was sex like with the two of them? Weird… There were actual fairies apparently. I had no clue if that meant like a little Tinkerbell or an elf or what the hell. But apparently hybrid human can be a very vague term. I rubbed my hands on the weird material of the dress Gabby had given me. Hemp? Definitely didn’t seem like cotton. It was kinda itchy and I had to hope my skin would adapt because going naked wasn’t an option. I also needed more bras and pretty quick. I had come with some clothes, and I hoped like hell they were somewhere. “Ohh Tracy,” Gabby said, playfully swatting at him and laughing. I nearly snickered. Giant lumberjack Hulk
~Daphne’s Point of View~ “No… no it can’t…” “Wake up Greta…” My lungs tightened and I couldn’t breath, yet somehow a huge scream was escaping my lips. “Hey, shh, it’s okay…” I whimpered and cuddled further into the warmth that surrounded me. The visual of my sister in the bathtub faded away with the new feeling of comfort. Of feeling safe and secure. My hand roamed warm skin and … hair? Yelch! My eyes popped open to see Barrett’s face merely inches from mine. I gasped and for some reason my instant reflex was to snap my legs together. Yet when I did they only molded around one of his. Why the fuck is his leg between mine?! “Why… What…” I said, still trying to wake up. Though I was pretty alert now. “You were having a dream. It must not have been nice,” he said, as he stroked my cheek. I jerked my hand away from his chest and put it on mine. “Did you… Did you sleep in here,” I asked, looking around. I had no idea what time it was but the sun was on full blast and unlike
~Liam’s Point of View~ *She’s clueless,* my beast said, licking his lips. He liked it that way, he liked the Omega needing some guidance. I wasn’t so sure. My brothers had raided her personal information. She was an orphan, no family. No home. A shifter happened to find her and steer her into one of our safe houses. It didn’t get much more of a blank slate than Daphne Patterson. Two names … it was weird. But she is stubborn, seems to think there is something better waiting for her at home anyhow. My dragon and I knew all we needed to know. She was strong and willful, clever and determined. And that body. Fuck. It’s all I’ve been able to think about since I first saw her. I’d flown overhead to survey the Omegas and spotted her immediately. She stood out unlike anyone I’d ever seen. Long, flowing brown hair and a full soft body. Unlike most female shifters with little to no hair, kept short and zero softness. Most Omegas are not that intelligent, only concerned with trivial things.
~Daphne’s Point of View~ “It’s just the best, there’s no rush like it,” Dwayne said. Maybe it was Devon? Derek? Aw fuck if I know. Fuck if I care! Nice on the eyes, probably would give me half an hour to remember, that’s about it. I stifled a yawn as the eighth man in a row told me how much he loved shifting and hunting. I’m sure it’s great, a massive thrill. But it's something I’ll never experience and never know. So hearing about killing and eating an animal as it slowly dies between your big teeth doesn’t really do it for me. Are there no non-meat eating hybrids at the Sky Light? It’s enough to turn me into a lettuce head. Even the two fairies I spoke with only wanted to talk about hunting! I had a lot of questions there, but was too scared shitless to ask. They were some very odd characters and everything in my body told me to stay away. When Rose said I was to have a date with every single interested man I shot that shit down real quick. I explained the premise of speed dati
~Daphne’s Point of View~ ~The Next Day~ “They’re all ready for you,” Cassandra said, as I nearly fell over. I looked at the first man in line and nearly choked on my lemonade. “Hey beautiful,” I heard, as I blinked through sleepy eyes to see Barrett. Isn’t the entire reason I’m doing this speed dating shit because I told him no? God he doesn’t give up does he? I suddenly sat up straight and looked him over. The last time I’d seen him he certainly looked a lot better, cheery and rested. It was clear he hadn’t really slept. He gave me a smile but it was obvious he was nervous. Sad even. Because of me?? A weird feeling of absolute guilt washed over me unlike anything I’d ever felt. I’m always the ugly duckling, the reject. But damn … I did that to someone. Shit I hadn’t even thought of it like that! Okay okay so now what? Light? Keep it light. “Hey yourself, you doing okay,” I asked, surprised that I cared. But damn even though I really didn’t want this guy like at all, I didn’
~Daphne’s Point of View~ “Hey you, long time no see,” I said, nodding at Gabby as she came to lay next to me. It wasn’t like the shifters, even the females needed to work on their tans. But living in the city I rarely saw so much greenery, let alone had free time to laze in the sun. So, laying out had fast become my new favorite thing. Even if I didn’t trek to the beach, but rather just hung out in the woods. “Oh come on I just … you… Uhm… The other day? Two days, whatever, hasn’t been that long,” she said, waving her hands around. I laughed. “Time flies when you’re screaming,” I said, teasing her. “Oh please! So jealous are you? Don’t even deny it! Well then? You find someone to make you scream yet,” she asked, wiggling her eyebrows. I sighed and shook my head. I’d kill for some sunglasses out here, it just wasn’t something I thought to bring and shifters didn’t seem to need them. It was quiet for a minute, though I had a million questions to ask her, I didn’t want to bomba
~Daphne’s Point of View~ “So?? I need details! Oh my god, Prince Liam up close and personal? Like no way,” Jenna said, practically gah-gah. I elbowed her and smiled. Two can play at this game princess! “He probably likes ‘em young, why don’t you try for him,” I said, giving her an encouraging face. Jessie immediately began laughing hysterically. She had a full belly kind of laugh, the one that will make you do it too regardless of what’s funny. “Yeah sis! How about it,” she chided, as we both stared at Jenna. “Oh I couldn’t possibly. I mean that would just be…I mean he’s…” she trailed off as I raised my eyebrow. Gotcha! Just then a man came into the vicinity, clearly gunning straight for the twins. I instantly noticed a resemblance, their father? “Girls, there you are! How dare you not answer my mind-links? Meghan is having her first shift, right now, so get your tails back home and be there for your sister. She’s shouting for you both,” he snapped, as both of their faces fell
