Chapter 6

“What do you think?” Matt asked still looking away. He was expecting her to giggle. There was no response from her. Matt thought she was angry. He wouldn’t want to annoy his helper, he quickly looked at her to tender apology but he was met with a smiling face. She was a teaser.

“When have you been living out here?” Matt felt the place was like her home. She had freshen up when he was asleep. She smelled nice and was dressed up. She couldn’t be so comfortable if she hadn’t made it a home.

“Few weeks ago. Alone” she looked downward. She was shy. It was like she was in control few minutes ago. Now, she had come back to shyness. He ignored that.

“Why are you helping me?” Matt asked her carelessly. She frowned and stood up, went into the tent. What the hell is this. He had not say anything bad. She was just getting angry over a harmless question, Matt was surprised by this. He followed her into the tent. She had seated on the bed.

“I didn’t mean to annoy you, Angela. I’m sorry” Matt apologised. That was not enough to make someone angry but they had just met. They were strangers to each other.

“My father always give me everything I wanted and I was always happy” She said sadly. Of course, everyone knew how much her father pampered her. That’s no news.

“But there is something he couldn’t give me, because I am his daughter. I dare not ask him” she went on. There was nothing her father wouldn’t give her, that was what everybody including Matt, believed not as she was saying otherwise right now. What could that be that her father couldn’t give her, that she couldn’t ask of. Matt couldn’t come up with any reasonable thing.

“When our people were brutally killed near Doyles, my father caught some of those responsible for it. That was when we knew all what Dylan was doing in your pack. They revealed to us you were being framed for it. Some came and attacked us to free them. I escaped but my father couldn’t make it” Angela sobbed.

“I’m sorry” Matt consoled her. She must be feeling really bad. The same way he felt when he received the news of his father’s death.

“Since then I’ve been out here alone. That was when it struck me this might be an opportunity to get what I have always craved” she wiped her tears. “You are what I wanted that my father couldn’t give. All I get of you is staring at you from afar. Our packs are sworn enemies. It was hard” she sobbed again.

Matt went deep in thought, searched his mind if he knew why their packs had been at war. He didn’t know. He had never be in love before. Now he he had an admirer, someone dying just to be with him. It felt like dream once again. Few hours ago, he had relinquished all hope of continue living. He sat down close beside her. He threw his hand around her. They gazed at each other straight in the eyes.

“Now, here I am within your reach” he smiled at her, “no more staring from afar”

Angela rested her head on her shoulder and squeezed his lap. Matt raised up her head and kissed her. She breathed heavily. He kissed her again. She rose up quickly and knelt on the bed. Matt also knelt on the bed. They kissed again and it became more intense. Matt rained kisses on every part of her faces. She raised up both hands and he removed her shirt furiously. They went back to their kissing spree. She was reluctant and pushed Matt chest. He paused.

“I want you to turn” she said seriously. Matt hissed at her request. Even if she didn’t ask,he would turn anyway.

“As your ladyship pleases” Matt smiled and took a deep breath. Long hair grew out of his body and his face changed gradually until it turned to a wolf's head. Angela was happy, she laughed loudly. Matt lifted her up and threw her on her over the bed. They had sex. Both of them enjoyed it.

Matt traced his finger on her arms. She had slept after the romp. She opened her eyes slightly and smiled. She crawled her head into Matt's arm and went back to sleep.

She was obviously very happy. She was indeed beautiful. He held her head and kissed her forehead.

Matt had never had feelings for anyone since the day he knew himself. He didn't hold special caring for anybody and that had never bothered him. His father used to say that would change whenever he found his mate.

He surely wasn't talking of a mate outside their pack. But now, everything had changed. Even there is no more home. Nowhere for him to go back to. She also had nowhere else except this tent.

They were couple now. Matt looked at the tent and sighed. They wood need a new home and that must be very far away from here. Far from Dylan, if they wanted to continue living happily.

"What are you thinking that is disturbing your heart like this?" Angela asked with her head still buried in his chest.

"I thought you are sleeping" Matt played with her hair. She had quite a romantic scalp. He kept putting her hair in his cupped hand and putting it to his nose like he was sniffing it.

"I can't sleep with your heart beating like this" she threw her head back to look into his eyes. She cowered back immediately their eyes met.

She was shy! Matt forced himself not to grin.

"Maybe I should just turn my back. I guess there is no heartbeat in the back?" he tried turning over his side.

"No!" she said sharply. "Just reveal why your heart is pounding. Or do you also have a lot of things you couldn't talk about?" she dragged him back from turning.

"Who was the other who has a lot he couldn't talk about?" he turned back to face her. She might be talking about her previous mates.

"Lopez. He always thought of something he couldn't talk about" she steered away from him. "You couldn't talk about yours too?"

"I thought Lopez was your father" Matt was lost. He was a little bit confused.

"And I didn't say he wasn't" she responded with a little bit of confusion too. She must have wondered why Matt asked that.

"I'm sorry. I think I am lost in thought" he had been mixing what he was thinking with what she said.

"And that's the thought I was asking you about" she sat up.

"I am just thinking we....I mean...I....we need a home rather than this tent" he stuttered. He was unsure what her reaction would be.

"Hmmm. Isn't that too fast to worry about it right now?" she chuckled.

"I'm sorry. I thought, I felt like I had nothing else to do in this life than living with you away from all the rigors of this life" he sat beside her.

"And who says I didn't want that?" he rested her head on his shoulder. "No city, we are not moving into a city where the woods will be miles away" she made her request.

"Of course!" Matt exclaimed happily. He wasn't find of city himself. No werewolves like them would want to be far away from the woods.
