Chapter 2: "I wouldn't mind"

Dylan Ashton

Oh crap, it's her! The fan earlier from the convenience store, how does she know I'm here?! I'm pretty sure, she didn't saw me earlier. Did she recognize me despite that disguise?

As she continued to walk near me one step at a time, I also took a step back one step at a time.

Until I reached a dead end. I've stumbled upon a huge wall after a few steps backwards to avoid her.

As she started to walk faster with that ominous look on her face like I'm a god or something she's been dying to find, I ran towards the boy's comfort room. That girl is bad news.

Since the pier already closed hours ago, there's no one that'll come here. I quickly locked the door. "S-stay away from me!" I shouted while panicking trying to find my way out

"I'll stay here until you come out there." Olivia stated with conviction

"Why would you even do that? Are you crazy?"

"Yes, crazy about you. Just kidding."

"Then why?"

" Let's be friends!" She stated with excitement

What's her deal? She's so... weird but still, I pretended to agree, "Then let me out first and keep a 1 meter distance away from me."

"... Okay."

Then I opened the door and she was really 1 meter away from me

"Are we friends now?" She flashed a cheerful and hopeful smile at me. She had a cheery disposition and she's quite cute with those round eyes, small nose and full cheeks that even I was taken aback.

Olivia Summers

Since most of love story started with being friends, I'll take it slowly and begin with being close to him then confess my love for him. It works everytime in romantic novels. It's 100% effective according to Nicholas Sparks.

Right?

But then he suddenly ran away and went straight towards the hotel he's checking in.

No, I must stay hopeful and positive... I'll stay here forever if it takes that long, I'll wait here until Dylan returns...maybe not until then but my feet are sore so I might stay a while hoping he'll return.

Dylan Ashton

I catch my breathe as I returned to the hotel I'm checking in, I lost my extra key.. Good thing, I have two keys.

I sighed as I stated, "That was close."

After a few hours, it's already dark outside, my mom stated as she went inside, "Have you heard the news? There was a girl near who lives near us, they said she was killed by the addicts living near the pier"

"What's the name of the girl?" I didn't know why but I was worried. I felt guilty for leaving that girl behind. What if she's in actual danger?

"Oh, I don't know... Why?"

"Ah, nothing, mom, I'll head outside for fresh air." I lied as I left in a hurry

And as soon as I stepped outside, I ran towards the pier, in front of the comfort room... Olivia's not there anymore and there's blood stain here.

With a sense of panic, I ran near the neighborhood and started asking if they saw Olivia while describing how she looks. But none of them saw Olivia, As I walked frantically a little more, I finally saw her!

I quickly ran towards her and asked worriedly while holding gently her shoulders, "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?"

"I- I'm fine." She continued, "I left because I got hungry from waiting and I had a scar from the piece of wood lying beside me so I had to buy some band aids and ointment."

"You had me worried sick, you know?" I let go of my grip from her shoulder and gently smiled, "But I'm glad you're safe."

What was wrong with me?

She's got me worrying? I don't even know the first thing about this girl. My gut feeling was correct. This girl is dangerous.

"I'm more than okay now after seeing that adorable smile." Olivia stated as if her eyes are sparkling from too much amusement.

I laughed at her response and pinched her nose gently, "You're hilarious, Olivia."

"My name... You know my name!"

"Yeah. I overheard it on the phone earlier." I continued, "Was that enough to make you happy?"

Olivia nodded her head in a daze.

She's surprisingly innocent. I may... took an interest.

"Show me your scar earlier, I'll put some ointment and bandage." I insisted

" No need, I can actually do it."

" I insist." I smiled as I continued, "Think of it as payback for making you wait earlier."

"Even it's forever waiting for you, I wouldn't mind it."

"You're good with pick-up lines huh? You know your way with words." I continued, "However, a girl must never wait. Don't worry, I won't make you wait that long again."

Olivia was all red, "I can hardly breathe...every word is so warm to me."

"Oh, I guess I'm pretty good with words too." I smirked

I bought some cold drinks and gave one to her after covering up her scar, I removed my cap and glasses revealing my bare face. Olivia stated, "Not that I'm complaining but I get the sense that you might be hiding from your fans so why are you removing it now?"

"I don't see the point of hiding with you." I continued after breathing in the summer night air with its warmth and coolness in perfect balance, "You caught me."

I added with a smile, "Here. It's actually my favorite since it's the sweetest drink but you can have it."

"So... Are we friends now?" She looked at me with those puppy eyes and she laughed genuinely as she mocked, "Please don't run away from me again."

"I won't." I chuckled

"Are we friends now?"

"Maybe." I smiled at her

She wasn't fully contented with my reply, I could see it in her hopeful eyes that she wants me to say 'yes'. She's really... innocent and kind. She doesn't even know me apart from what the media told her.

I'm exactly that guy.

"Go home, it's getting darker, where do you live anyway?" I asked

"At the hotel beside yours."

"Really, then... Travel safe." I reminded as I patted her head. I got caught up and as soon as I realized that, I removed my hand and hid them behind me as I awkwardly said goodbye.

After seeing her went inside the hotel she's checking in, "See you tomorrow, Olivia."

Olivia took a peak and stated, "I heard that."

"Well, I kind of wanted you to hear." I smiled and immediately went back to the hotel I'm checking in. I left with the last thing I saw was her blushing pretty face. Olivia... She's an interesting and crazy girl... But she's full of surprises and unexpected charms.

She was actually beautiful, I wonder how come she's a hopeless romantic?

Maybe because she's a creepy stalker but that's the fun part in her too.

Olivia seems interesting.

Olivia Summers

I knew it, he'll eventually come back... I know because I can feel that we're truly made for each other. I will treasure this drink forever, I put it in the fridge without taking a single gulp from it.

He knows my name!

That alone is enough to make me happy but he even smiled at me and cared for me... I fell in love even more than I already am. He truly is a gentleman and surely, he's not a casanova.

Dylan Ashton is simply my future husband. Forever is a long time but I wouldn't mind spending it by your side. Tell me, I get to wake up to that smile... I wouldn't mind it at all.

We're not friends yet but we will be and I will be one step closer to winning his heart. It's kind of weird how they call me a hopeless romantic when I'm this hopeful!

Ah... but I guess that's exactly why.

However, I must remain hopeful and stick to the guide from my love horoscope.

Then after that long day, I took a bath and changed into my pajamas. I blowed a kiss from my window towards Dylan's hotel's large window and stated, "Goodnight, Dylan."

I waited for 11:11 and wished to be with my destiny in the near future. Just like I wish for every night. Then I slept with high hopes of what tomorrow might bring.

Oh don't pretend you haven't tried that even once.

Still, tomorrow is a new day that I get to spend with Dylan. Isn't this fun?
