Chapter Thirty Six
I know Fabrico just asked me to be his girlfriend like an hour ago but me meeting his mom, is to soon. I shrug just staring at him. He's waiting for my response.
"What if she doesn't want to see me?"
"Nonsense. My mom would like you right away"
I sigh rubbing my elbows with my hands. "Isn't it too soon to be meeting your mother?" I ask and he smiles.
"I just want to show you the place where I grew up and the woman who raised me. I'm not proposing"
Oh! That shouldn't have stung but it did. What he just said is like a little reminder that we're still just together because we enjoy each other's company. No love attached. It's like an upgraded pact, to be called his girlfriend.

It's a lovely green dress for a lovely evening to have dinner with the Valenquez family. Fabrico told me his aunt Gina and her two sons would be there. I also can't want to see Ginevra.I loosen my messy bun so my hair flowed right down to my waist and then I brushed it. I should really trim my hair before it gets below my ass. It's already at my waist. And keeping a hair this long is just too expensive.I applied little makeup on my face, a nude lipstick and mascara. I skipped the eyeshadow. Blake grinned and then collected the bag of groceries in my hand. He looks well dressed, his hair was even well combed and he didn't have the stench of alcohol on him."What are you doing here Blake? I'm in tears!I reach out to wipe my eyes in my sleep. I've been like this almost throughout the night. Waking up with tears in my eyes but I try not to wake Fabrico on the other side of the bed. It was still like it was dead and I was screaming. I snap my eyes opened. The fear is back! The guilt of loosing that child. I bought dinner on my way home so I was arranging it into plates when Fabrico came in and planted a kiss on my cheek."Good evening, baby" he says somewhat cherry about something. I place down two plates filled with roasted turkey and lamb chops down. "You know fried things aren't good for your health" he reminds me before seating on a stool."I know. Kay is by my side when I open my eyes. I'm in hospital clothes and I have a tube sticking out of me. I touch my head as I seat up trying to check out my surrounding."Thank God you're up" Kay says.A nurse is by her side and when she sees I'm up, she comes to me checking my temperature and all that..I try to keep my eyes opened."What happened?" The day I realised that I love Fabrico was when he came to rescue me from Blake that night. He might not have known it but he was my secret hero. He saved me. I open my eyes when I feel a hand run through my hair. I see Fabricos face, his eyes are still shut and he looks adorable with a bed head. I smile because I know my hands did that...last night. Even now, I run my hand through his growing curl of hair and then down his face, to his scruffy chin. I kiss it.He stirs but doesn't open his eyes. His long lashes only flattered on his cheek bone.
