LOGINWe caught our breath and were soon up off the floor getting showers. Mika said I could go first and use all the hot water I wanted. He said he could use a cold shower after all that. I wasn't about to argue, I'll take it. I decided to walk the property while Mika showered since the rain had stopped. The animals started to come out of their shelters, curious about the newcomer. I wish I had someone to talk to that understood how I felt about Mika and my life in the pack; who could give me advice. Even if I did, would I listen to their advice if it wasn't what I wanted to hear? This was all just so hard, Mika has flipped my world upside down. Mika found me after I'd made my way around and came back to the porch steps. I had been thinking about what to do, considering telling him everything so he could reject me and make the decision for me. I stood up so he wouldn't be towering over me as much. But before I could get a word out, Mika spoke first. "Hey so this is important", he sta
Mika was nowhere near as fast as me so I slowed down to keep the chase interesting. I dodged through the trees, having him hot on my trail. I let him get really close a few times, I could hear him swipe through the air but I was just out of reach. I made it to the rescue. I'd let him catch me soon but not yet. The animals were watching us running through the cages like mad, sliding in the mud. They must have thought we were crazy. I made it to the front yard but right before the porch I slid in a patch of mud that I hadn't seen in my hurry. I fell in it, scrambled up, stumbled up the porch steps and reached for the door knob. But it was too late. Mika had caught up. He grabbed me and swung me around, making me laugh hysterically. He turned the knob and kicked the door open, dragging me inside and tickling me. I was embarrassingly squealing with laughter. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard. Mika slid on all the water and mud dripping from our clothes and we immediately went
Mika and I took our coffees to the park and sat on the bleachers to talk while we waited on his friends. "Do you want to play with us today?" Mika asked. He was a really good guy: considerate, gentle, generous, sweet. I kissed his cheek so I could whisper in his ear, "I'm sorry. I don't think it's a good idea with my above average speed and strength, if I got competitive I could hurt someone or expose my wolf." "Oh. Right. Well maybe just me and you sometime. Like when we usually practice?" He looked embarrassed that he hadn't thought it through. "Yeah of course. I'd love to." That got his smile back. Mika looked like he wanted to kiss me but his sister and their friends hollered at him and he got up, giving me an apologetic smile, and jogged off in their direction. I was so busy watching how the men interacted like family, like pack, that I didn't see Michelle heading my way. She sat down next to me. Cornrows on full display, black shirt with cut off sleeves and the sides s
When I woke up in a bed instead of the woods, I thought for a second I was home. The ache between my legs and his smell overwhelming the room told me otherwise. But the smell of sausage and bacon is what had me sitting up. I confirmed Mika wasn't in bed with me, which was a little disappointing, the food would make up for that though. I slipped my clothes on and headed to the door, following the smell, since I hadn't seen the layout on my way in here last night. It was a decent sized house from what I'd seen from the outside but I'd only been on the first floor. Mika's room was right next to the bathroom, down the hall from the kitchen. I guess I didn't need to follow the smell after all. The living room was off to the right if you came in the front door, the stairs off to the left, all of which was visible from the hall. I turned the other way, heading to the kitchen. Mika had his back to me but he must have heard me come in because upon entering I got a cheerful, "Hey!" "Hey
Well thankfully he did let me shower first. It was nice to have a hot shower in a home again and I was definitely alone, unlike in the gym showers. I soaked up the heat letting myself put off the inevitable a little longer. When the hot water was all gone it was time to get out and get this over with. Mika was sitting in the kitchen when I found him. He was at a little square table in the corner of the room, two sides of the table were bench seats, lining the walls and meeting in the room's corner. The other two sides just had regular chairs. It wasn't lost on me that he was in a bench seat, back to the wall. I didn't blame him, if that made him feel safer then so be it. I probably would do the same if I was in a room with a predator higher on the food chain than me. I sat in the chair across the table from him, just to give him that little bit of extra space, which my body was really against. I was afraid my heat was about to get intense, making me want to mate to the closest m
It wasn't dark when we got to the spot where he normally releases the animals, which was pretty close to my camp, I'd have to fix that later. It was right before sunset, when there was less traffic on the roads and the night time sounds started. How peaceful it was, it was unreal this close to the city. Now was definitely the right time to let her go. I closed my eyes to breath it all in. When I opened them again I noticed Mika staring at me but he quickly turned his head realizing he'd been caught. Awkwardly clearing his throat, "You want to help me get the crate off the truck?" "Yeah sure." I replied, blushing. I had to pretend like the wolf and her crate were heavy but really I didn't break a sweat. Mika had me get back by the truck bed while he pulled the release cord in the crate. So I guess he did take the danger somewhat seriously but he really should have a weapon of some sort to protect himself. The door flew open and she was more than ready to dart out and into the
