Chapter Sixty Three

“What’s wrong with Niko?” Alan immediately asked Reyna after her statement.

“Nothing. He’s fine. I just want to talk about some things with you.” She replied as her hand traveled to his laps.

“Do you like him? Are you okay with him?” She asked, a look of concern on the corners of her face.

“Of course!” Alan half yelled as a smile lit up his face.

“He’s just like the big brother I never had. He’s nice and thoughtful, he has lots of money. And most importantly he’s nice, he got me a tab just because I survived my operation. I don’t want to imagine the whole lot of things he’ll have got you.” Alan added.

Reyna smiled at this, wondering if all he said was true. Although she and Niko might have started on the wrong foot, there’s no point lying that he wasn’t nice and not a gentleman. Like the time he got her food in the hospital, or the occasional waking her up to go to school, to not miss that, to take her to the hospital. Everything amounts to something.
