Chapter Fourteen — N is for Night Out
“Hi Taylor! Glad you could make it,” his eyes twinkled with delight.
“Yeah, me too,” I tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear and instantly regretted the bun I tied my hair in. Now what am I supposed to hide behind? Stupid me.
“You look amazing.”
“Thanks.”
If he kept this up my cheeks were going to fill up with all the blood my body was supposed to get.
“Wanna get out of here? It's way too loud.” He bent his head and whispered the words in my ear. His warm breath fanned the side of my face sending sparks of excitement through my spine.
My skin prickled with joy as I nodded, not trusting my voice.
He opened the glass door leading to the pool and we both stepped out.
