Chapter 15

Aldridge woke up to the sound of cutlery dropping. He opened his eyes and looked around the chamber.

“Finally awake My Lord?” Mrs Wright said as she placed down the teacup and saucer beside his bed.

“What do you mean?" He asked as he looked around the chamber and saw that it was daytime already.

“You have been asleep for the last two days,” Mrs Wright answered.

“What? Why?” Aldridge asked as he sat up and winced from the pain that riddled his back.

“Be careful,” she said and helped him sit up against the headboard.

“It’s okay, where is he?” Aldridge asked referring to Shawn.
