Chapter 16
Aldridge stepped out of the carriage followed by Shawn who closed the door and looked around. It was close to midnight and both of them were extremely exhausted from riding in the carriage for two days.
Aldridge wrapped his arm around Shawn’s and used him to keep his balance. Shawn looked down at Aldridge and brushed his hair out of his face as he asked, “Tired?”
“Mn,” Aldridge hummed, “I am just glad we arrived sooner than expected, I do not think I could last another day in there.”
“Want me to carry you in?” Shawn asked concerned, Aldridge had been moaning and groaning until he fell asleep and his body was hurting.

Aldridge helped Shawn pack his things and Shawn could tell that Aldridge wasn't happy that he was leaving. He smiled and cupped Aldridge's face while he sat on the bed and looked down at him.
