Chapter 35

Shawn carried the rug pieces he cut up that had the blood on them to the fire and chucked them in. He looked down at Hudson and said, “That is the last of it. You are free to clean up the floors while I man the fire.”

Hudson looked up at Shawn from his crouched position and asked, “Master, what will you do if word gets out?”

“About what?” Shawn asked as he sat down with a sigh.

Hudson looked at the fire that was dancing around the skull and said, “A few bones aren’t burning down as they should.”

Shawn looked at the fire and took the stick he was poking the fire with and said, “That will be my problem to deal with, just let the fire burn with the sun for now.”

Hudson got up and rushed to clean up the master chamber that w
