Micah and I leave from the back gate of the palace, and I am wearing commoner clothes similar to his. We have a clothes bag in our hands and a bunch of bronze coins with us. It's really early in the morning, so it's cold outside. I suggest to Micah that we get a lift from someone who goes on a cart, or else the journey on horseback would be tiring.

He takes my request to heart and somehow manages to lure an older man for a ride in exchange for some coins. So we get on the cart, which has only a tiny space as he's delivering some goods. We jam in together and sit so close.

I have never been on a cart (only carriages). So I hold on to Micah as if my life depends on it, or else I would fly out of the cart. He chuckles at my actions and hugs me back securely so that I relax and fall asleep in no time. I only wake up when we are near our destination.

And I am hungry!

I tug at Micah's sleeves and admit that I am hungry. He takes out some food from the bag
