Chapter 4- Boarding the Yacht

At the harbour, on a beautiful sun-setting evening, a cab pulled over and three beautiful women got out. The driver opened the boot and pulled out a few suitcases. The ladies hopped up in excitement watching people walking up the stairway boarding the super yacht. Many others stood on the stern of the yacht, waving back in excitement.

"Hurry, hurry, I can't wait to go up there," said Daisy. She wore a blue crop-top and baggy jeans and a Nike cap.

"Mr, please help us carry the bags inside," said Mariot. She wore a black mini-skirt and a white crop-top.

The driver hesitated. "I'm definitely sure they wouldn't allow me pass the docks, miss," said the gentleman giving them a friendly smile.

He carried their bags all the way to the docks where they took over and gleefully went up the staircase. As they entered inside, Dohana was stunned by the exquisite designs on the boat.

"This trip must have cost a fortune," Dohana reckoned. She wore a blue summer dress she had brought from home.

"Don't worry about the money, my dad is a businessman. He paid for everything three weeks ago," said Mariot, her eyes fixated on the interior design of the super-yacht.

"I can't wait to dress up," added Daisy all smiles.

"This way please ladies," said the stewerdess, dressed in a red top and black pants, leading the way.

"What time will the boat leave the docks?" Asked Dohana.

"It's a yacht," said the stewerdess looking concerned, "evening at 7pm. One more hour to go, as long as some stuck-up billionaires don't delay us."

She unlocked the door and pulled their bags inside before dropping them in the middle of the cabin. "There you go ladies. This is your room, call me if you need anything. There's a shower over there, if you'd like to freshen up now or later. The party officially kicks off at 7pm when the yacht leaves the docks. There's a swimming pool up above, that's where most people are spending their time right now. You can knock yourselves out."

"Swimming pool, this is gonna be lit," said Daisy.

"No time for swimming pools, didn't you hear what she said, the party starts in one hour. Let's start dressing up," said Mariot unpacking her bag.

All Dohana could think about was meeting a great gentlemen tonight. One perhaps, who could return home with her and end the dilemma she was facing. She glared at the mirror smiled at her new hairstyle, the hairdressers in the big city were really good at their job, she thought. 'With my traditional dress, I'll definitely charm a few men tonight.'

"So, Christine Dohana, what kind of a prince charming would you like to meet tonight?" Asked Mariot giggling.

She giggled back and said, "well, he ought be a gentleman first, he ought to be manly and strong, maybe with a charming and commanding voice."

Mariot and Daisy stared at each other before they laughed.

Mariot closed her mouth with her hand, trying to suppress her laugh and asked, "that sounds like you're looking for an army general dear."

Dohana thought about it and said, "yes, someone along those lines. What about you Mariot? What kind of Prince charming are you hoping to meet tonight."

"Oh! Me? Oh I'm just hoping to have a good time. Maybe meet a guy who can sweep me off my feet for tonight only. I'm not looking for anything serious."

'For tonight only?' Dohana thought, 'What kind of lives are these people living?'

Daisy seriously glared at Dohana and said, "Dohana, we were joking about the prince charming thing, okay. There's no such thing in this city. Men are scum bags."

Mariot was taken aback by Daisy's sudden outburst about the issue they had discussed not to expose. When she saw Dohana's face go blank, she sighed, "Dohana darling, I hate to break it to you but Daisy is right. Finding a real good man isn't so easily achievable. Most of the men in this city are womanisers and players, so you have to be careful, okay."

"You mean, I might not find my prince charming?" she said making a sad face and sturdying them with one awkward eye. Dohana wasn't naive, she knew finding the right man was almost impossible. She had lived her whole life and not once got charmed by any man. So how would a day in a boat party surpass all her days in her life? But, there was still hope, right?

"But it is still possible though," said Mariot with a faint smile.

Dohana returned a smirk and continued her make-up.

"Hey Dohana, let me help you with your make up," said Mariot taking over.
