CHAPTER 18

He cooked me a chicken soup with green vegetables on it. It was getting late already so after eating I cleared my throat to get his attention. He was busy cleaning the plates we used.

“I need to get home by nine so I can sleep early. I need to leave early tomorrow to visit my grandparents with my family,” I said.

After drying his hands, he sat on the chair across from me. “No probs, but first, I need to remind you about the party I told you about.”

I was confused for a second. Then I remembered our first meeting. I just nodded my head. I’m still not comfortable talking to him after what we did.

“I’ll fetch you up tomorrow night at your house or…?”

“No need, I’ll ask my driver to send me to the location instead. Just send me the address,” I replied.

“Okay!” Then he stood up. “Wait, give a minute,” he said before walking towards his room.

Confused, I still patiently waited for him in the kitchen. He hid my bag and phone and hasn’t given them back. Probably thinking I will run away again
