CHAPTER 14

He got out of his car and ran towards the other side to open the door for me. He then gently held my hand and directed me towards the elevator.

Our surroundings were quiet so we could hear our own footsteps. He let go of my hand and pressed the 20th floor button and the door shut.

I then thought of asking him something. “Are you not sleepy yet?”

She shook his head once, “Nope, not a little.”

“How about you, are you feeling sleepy now?”

I also shook my head. “Nope,” I replied. Although staying awake this late may ruin my usual sleep schedule, I don’t mind at all.

“Don’t you have class tomorrow?”

“I have, but just one minor subject tomorrow at four pm ‘till six. So, it’s okay to stay awake late.”

After a few more moments, the elevator stopped and the door opened. We were greeted by the warm light of the hallway. I was following Lurcos behind as we made our way toward his door. He stopped and opened his door and went inside while I waited for him to invite me inside.

“Come in,” he ordere
