CHAPTER 16

I woke up from the loud ringing of my phone from my bag. My whole being hurts and I didn’t want to move a muscle. But, thinking that it might be important, I crawled my hands up to my bag and casually picked up the phone while keeping my eyes shut and my position still.

I slightly opened my eyes to see who it was. And my eyes immediately widened seeing Lurcos’ names on the screen. My heart went racing immediately. But, I managed to keep my cool. I dropped the phone and closed my eyes again.

There’s no point in answering him. There’s nothing to talk about.

I looked at the time on my bedside clock and saw that it was eleven in the morning already. The sun is shining bright outside. No one woke me up so I assumed everyone wasn't home yet.

I looked at my white lifeless ceiling while thinking of what happened last night. It was a long and tiring day. A lot of things happened and I couldn’t be more drained. It was a day full of roller coaster rides. It started bad and it ended bad, too.
