Chapter 26: Get Out

Claire's POV:

Stepping into my room a sigh escapes my lips as I place down my books before face planting onto my couch.

Until a scent fills my nostrils causing my head to shoot up.

Next to my fridge is Darren digging his hands into some fries causing my eyebrows to furrow.

"What the fuck are you doing" I ask as he looks at me wide eyed.

"Dude" I ask sitting up causing him to advert his eyes from me.

"Ummm, I'm just eating" he said shrugging his shoulders.

"You air fried my fries dude" I said like it was obvious but he just looks at me with a weird expression.

"First I can smell it and second it's still plugged in" I said holding up my fingers before pointing towards the air frier.

"Oh, shit, I forgot to unplug it" he said rushing over to it causing me to laugh.
