Chapter 5: Room Set Up

Claire's POV:

Squinting my eye's the only thought process I had was the need to put in blinds for the windows.

Relaxing a little I let my eye's adjust to the morning sun rays, after awhile I stare up at the ceiling while letting out a little groan when realizing my surroundings.

Sitting up I look around before looking towards the windows.

The one on the right had a sudden movement outside of it catching my off guard.

Slowly I stand up my head tilted to the right a little as I step closer 'this is how everyone ends up dying in a horror movie' I thought to myself while stopping my movements.

Walking backwards I look down at the bags sticking out of one is a piece of glass which looks like it got stuck on the side like the bag was placed down on the glass.

Reaching over I pull it out holding it in my hand I watch the window, suddenly light pink hair could be seen with crystal blue eye's popping up with it.

The males eye's widen when he finds me staring at him.

Walking up to the window with a glare as I bang on the window a little causing the boy to jump "go the fuck away creeper" I said rather loudly.

With fear in his eye's he backs up from my window, being able to look him over I see he's about 5'6 with large white wings stuck to his back each feather being able to be seen in the sunlight causing my eye's to widen.

Quickly the boy runs off "fucking weirdo" I said under my breath.

Climbing up the little latter I place the glass underneath the mattress before climbing back down.

Grabbing the bags Elizabeth pointed out last night I bring them to the bathroom with me.

Looking around the bathroom looks almost pristine, white tiles across the floor a pearly white bathtub close to the corner next to the door.

The toilet in the small corner in the back close to the sink space.

A shower close to the tub showing an overhang shower head, dark grey tiles, seating within the shower and clear walling around it with a glass door.

My mouth hangs open while looking at the bathroom on the other side practically carved into the wall the sink counter was the same shade as the bathtub but the faucet being the dark grey with intricate designs like the bed upstairs.

Looking up from the counter I see a large mirror and make eye contact with myself.

My bloodshot eye's stare back at me in shock, my face was red and puffy almost matching the shade of my eyes.

My hair was tangled in knots especially where I was grabbed, my body had cuts laced across my face and arms.

You could see some cuts across my abdomen within the rips of my blood covered shirt.

'My father's blood' I thought causing my breath to hitch, quickly I rip my shirt off over my head breathing heavily as his bloodied neck and swollen face pop up into my head as he lays pushed against the ground.

Taking deep controlled breaths I try to calm myself down and the look for someplace to put my dirty clothes, finding a laundry bin under the sink I let out a little sigh placing the shirt in there before the rest of my clothes.

Grabbing what I need from my bag I head into the large shower.

Turning it on a light creak is heard as the water travels up through the piping.

Letting the water cascade down my skin I let out a content sigh at its warmth.

After scrubbing and re-scrubbing my body I finally feel a bit more content as the water turned clear instead of a dark shade of pink from the dried blood, that was glued to my skin.

Getting out I dry off before hanging up the towel on a rack, bending down I look through the clothes in the bag finding some underwear I put them on along with a bra.

Finding a pair of grey sweatpants I throw them on along with a cropped tank top, a small bit of my tattoo on my right side peaks out and some cuts from the woods are shown on my arms and part of my abdomen.

Dragging the clothing bag out of the bathroom I leave the door open to air out the steam so I could put everything away in there.

A nock sound comes from my door, hesitantly I walk towards it "who is it?" I asked quietly.

"Elizabeth, may I come in?" her angelic voice called out from the other side.

Feeling a little stiff I take a deep breath "sure" I whispered causing her to open the door and peak her head in with a smile on her face.

"Good morning Claire" she said happily while fully coming into the room and looking around "shall we get started?" she asked happily.

"Sure, I was just about to start actually" I said with a small smile while she giggled.

That's when we started going through the bags and setting up my new room.

After a few hours we were close to being done, placing a few more books on the shelves while Elizabeth puts the shoes in the closet a knock is heard from the door.

"Come in" I said without hesitation causing me to pause for a moment.

"Good afternoon" Charles said opening the door and leaning on the door frame "I brought you food" he said holding up a white paper bag.

"What is it?" I asked excitedly practically ignoring the fact that Elizabeth is still in the room while Charles chuckles at me.

"Cheeseburgers" he said walking to the desk and placing the bag down on top of it.

"Yay" I said excitedly while placing the last book on the shelf and walking over to the bag.

Opening it I smell the burgers and french fries causing me to smile excitedly and Charles to look at me with a smile on his face.

"Ill take it from here Elizabeth" Charles said nodding towards the woman.

"Alright" she nodded exiting the room and closing the door behind her.

I begin eating the food like my life depended on it and Charles waits patiently, but I hand him one of the burgers.

"They're for you" he stated.

"I don't enjoy eating alone, if someone else is in the room" I said back causing him to let out a sigh and begin eating the burger I handed him leading to a smile to stretch upon my features.

After eating he stood up and looked around the room "It looks nice, I see the bookshelf is full" he stated causing me to smile.

"I enjoy reading" I said quietly.

"Well, I can definitely see that" he stated smirking at me causing me to look down for a moment a little embarrassed.

Getting up I walk over to some of the last bags "do you think I could move that desk somewhere else?" I asked him causing him to look at it.

"Maybe, but it would have to go upstairs" he stated looking up towards the open spaces on either side of the bed.

"Why?" he asked looking back at me.

Pulling out my easel his eye's widen "I'd like the natural light for painting" I said and he nodded.

"I'll help you bring the desk up then" he said moving towards the desk and placing the bag on top of it that held school supplies on the ground.

Climbing up the latter a bit I go towards the top as Charles brings the desk over to me.

"This would probably be easier if we had a witch" he said but I shrug my shoulders.

"Your a werewolf I'm sure that will be enough" I said causing him to puff out his chest and me to laugh at his cockiness.

"Okay big guy, help" I said rolling my eye's while looking down a little at the tall man.

"Here" he said lifting up the desk like it was the easiest thing ever.

Pulling it he helps me push it towards the top and place it on the upstairs flooring but I end up slipping a little causing Charles to catch me as my breath gets caught in my throat.

The desk clearly wasn't secure because the desk came falling down almost hitting me in the face causing me to gasp loudly and shut my eye's in anticipation for getting hit in the face.

"You okay" Charles' voice came from next to my ear, slowly I open my eye's my breathing heavy.

The desk was less than a foot away from my face, his hand was placed infront of me holding the desk while the other gripped my hip holding me up while my back was pressed against his chest.

"Yeah, Im good" I whispered nodding my head as he pushed it all the way up.

Climbing up after the desk I place it against the wall further away from the lader.

Looking down from the top I smile at him "see all you need is a wolf" I said causing him to laugh while shaking his head at me.
