Chapter 1: School

Claire's POV:

Walking through the dimly lit hallway I let a sigh escape my lips at the crowded area I now stand in.

Trying to reach my locker I see two kids making out on it, well more like trying to fuck on it "you have to be fucking kidding me" I said while a groan escaped my lips.

Feeling a little angry, mainly due to the crowd I walk over to the two before pushing them off "move" I growled out getting them off of my locker.

Rolling my eye's I hear the girl scoff as I open my locker.

Letting out a little laugh I shake my head before leaning my head back to look at the blonde girl.

"What?" I asked in a bored tone.

"What?!" the girl exclaimed in a loud voice causing me to sigh and move things through my locker to grab my books and note books for my first class.

"What, is your problem?" the girl finally asked getting closer to my face.

"I don't have a problem, you were just in my way and I have shit to do" I said grabbing a few pens and placing my main bag inside.

"Well whatever it is you should keep it to yourself" she said "and leave me and my boyfriend alone" she finished.

"Just don't get in my way and I will" I said slamming the locker door closed and making eye contact with the girl "trust me I don't want any of your diseases if I don't have to have them, good luck with the std" I said before turning and walk away leaving the blonde with her mouth practically hitting the floor.

Entering my first class I walk to the back setting down my work and leaning back in my chair before looking out the window.

"Hey Claire" Jake's voice said tauntingly as he walked over to where I was seated.

"Hello Jake" I said still staring out the window.

"How's it going little one?" he asked.

"Well, Im doing just fine thank you, hows it going for you ogre?" I asked before looking straight into his eye's.

His blue eyes and bleached blonde hair were practically shinning in the sunlight that was peaking through the darker clouds and piercing in through the window.

He looked at me his jaw clenched " what, your the one that always wants to make short jokes can't take it when one's towards you?" I said tauntingly back at the boy.

The boy turned and walked away sitting in the front breathing heavily in anger causing me to smile to myself.

When the teacher walked in any chatter in class was ended.

Half way through the class I turn in my homework from the night before and sit back down at my desk before laying my head down while the rest of the class gets rowdy.

After going to my next few class's its finally lunch time causing me to sigh in relief.

Going into the library I check out a murder mystery before heading up to the roof of the school.

Looking up the sky looks almost black but I smile as I walk towards the edge.

Sitting down I let my legs dangle over the edge, placing the book down I pull out my pack of cigarettes and lighter.

Placing one in my mouth I light it before putting the pack and lighter away.

Taking in a breath I feel the smoke travel through my chest before blowing it out through my lips.

Picking up my book I begin reading as well, after a little while I get knocked out of my trance by the sound of the bell ringing loudly causing me to groan.

Getting off the edge, I put out my now finished cigarette by rubbing it into the ground with my heal.

Heading downstairs I go back to my locker grabbing the rest of the work I need for the other half of my classes.

Heading to my fourth period it ends up being just like my other class periods, boring, letting out a yawn I continue on with my reading.

This continues on through fifth and most of my sixth period.

Looking at the clock, waiting for the final bell, I watch as the second hand clicks until the bell finally rings.

Standing up I go to exit the classroom "Claire" the teachers voice calls me just as I make it to the door causing me to sigh my eye brows furrowed before I turn around putting a small smile on my face.

"Yes, Mrs. Johnson?" I said politely walking towards my teacher.

"I know you have straight A's but you need to pay attention in class" she stated looking disappointed "and maybe try to make some friends" she continued.

"Right, I'll try to do that Mrs. Johnson" I said before going to walk away.

"I'll see you later Ms. Thompson" she said to me as I closed the door to her classroom behind me.

Taking a deep breath I walk through the almost empty hallway towards my locker to grab my bag and place what I need at home in it.

Taking everything out I see the hallway is now empty causing me to groan at how long I've beem stuck in such a dreadful place.

Closing my locker the sound of it clicking can be heard before I place the lock back on it.

Walking towards the door I hear I loud bang causing me to look back quickly towards the sound, but no one was there.

Getting a bad feeling I exit the school heading to my car.

Hoping in I lock all the doors quickly while staring at the schools main doors.

"There's nothing there, Im just going crazy" I told myself while I buckled my seat belt and started playing some Three Day's Grace.

Driving home I can feel myself relax along the way.

Pulling up to my house I grab my bag from the backseat, and turn off the car.

Getting out I lock the car before walking past my parents car that sat in the driveway, surprisingly earlier then normal causing my eyebrows to furrow.

Walking up to the door I unlock it and step inside locking the door behind me, looking up I see my parents both sitting on the couch.

"Hey mom, hey dad, how was work?" I said while I began taking off my shoes and socks.

"Where have you been?" my dad asked panicking while walking towards me my mother following in his footsteps.

"Why are you so late?" she asked.

"Im not" I said slowly while placing my bag down on the ground "you guys are early" I said.

Looking at my parents, they both look they their having a mental break down, their clothes were disheveled and my mother had tear stains running down her cheeks.

My father started pacing back and forth while checking the time on his wrist watch.

"What's wrong?" I asked worriedly as my mother grabbed onto my shoulders.

"You have to leave" she said pulling me to the other side of the house.

"What, why?" I asked as my father looked towards our front door.

"You have to go now, before they find you" she said pulling me just pasted the couch.

"Mom" I whispered but she just kept mumbling about how someone was coming.

"Who's coming?" I asked again.

The door bell rings causing my mother to stop in her movements "its to late, they're here" she said looking over at my father.

"What's to late?" I asked but she doesn't take her eye's off the door.

"Who's here mom?" I asked worry lacing my tone.

"It's too late" my mother whispered out looking at me with fear in her eye's as the front door lock broke and the door swung open.
