Odessa POV
“It’s so uncomfortable!” Evyn hissed.
This was the most humiliating moment of my life. I’d been called every name there was for being a weak wolf, but this was over the top.
Sienna was proud of her achievements. I felt like a loser, especially for bringing my best friend into this.
“I’m sorry,” I whispered as we marched downstairs.
“Don’t do that. The outfits are ridiculous, but we look hot!”
“It’s humiliating.”
River took our clothes, and the truck's car keys were in my coat jacket. The heels pinched my feet, but the cold silver butt plug invading my hole was foreign and each time the tail swished it brushed my legs it reminded me it was there.
Evyn wouldn’t let me do this alone, but she insisted on the wolf outfit while I got the wildcat one. Sienna and her crew disappeared, leaving us to face the party alone.
The second we came into eyesight, the whistles and cat calls started.
“The entertainment’s here!”
“Where are the poles? We want the full show.”
“That’s right, bring the girls over here.”
All I thought about was getting to the front door. What would happen after we got out into the bitter evening air didn’t matter right now.
“Hey, where are you going?” A guy grabbed my arm and dragged me into the living room.
“Get your dirty hands off her!” Evyn yelled, stumbling over her tight heels.
“We’re getting our money’s worth,” he barked.
“No one paid us you, jackass!” I yelled.
“Is that how you sluts get away with other people’s money? We want a show.”
Damn Sienna. She knew this would happen. Where was she anyway? She must have been laughing in a corner at how successful her plan was.
Suddenly, a crowd formed around us, all expecting us to do something.
“What now?” Evyn hissed. “I can’t dance.”I should never have dragged us into this.
“Turn on the music. We want to see these two move it,” the guy said.
His friends cheered him on.
“What the fuck is going on?” The words roared out and silenced the crowd.
Maverick watched the scene before him in horror. Storm pushed through the crowd and stood behind his best friend.
“What the—”
Maverick’s eyes narrowed on me with a hatred so hot I felt it in the mate bond. Did he think I’d show up at a party dressed like this?!
“Relax, Maverick, it’s just entertainment. The girls are about to put on a show.”
Maverick stepped forward, but he couldn’t get to the other guy without throwing me aside.
“A show, Benson?” Maverick questioned. “Is this your idea of a show?”
Benson crossed his arms. “What’s with you? They’re just a bunch of omegas.”
Maverick’s nostrils flared. “The party’s over. Get the girls out of here.”
“Who the hell do you think you are?” Benson barked.
“What?” Maverick asked, his tone cold and sharp.
He took my wrist and dragged me so I stood behind him. The crowd thinned out slowly. Some people pretended they had something better to do, others slipped outside, watching the events unfold from a safe distance.
“What did you say to me?” Maverick growled.
“Y-you c-can’t just shut us down because you don’t like the way w-we have fun.”
Maverick chuckled. What’s so funny? Maverick reached out and grabbed Benson’s neck. Mav yanked him off the ground. Benson’s legs dangled in the air.
“I probably didn’t make myself clear. I won’t blame you. The party’s over, the girls are going home, and I don’t want to see you at my stadium for a week. Understood?”
Benson nodded, struggling to breathe.
“What?” Mav demanded.
Benson turned red. It was enough now. Mav needed to stop. Storm’s hand landed on my shoulder, stopping me from going further.
“Yes, captain.”
Mav dropped him. Benson broke into a fit of coughs.
“Is that all I am to you?” Mav questioned.
When Benson didn’t respond, Mav blasted tons of Alpha power, making Benson groan. The command to submit wasn’t aimed at me, but I felt it in my bones. Storm squeezed my shoulder to keep me steady.
“I’m sorry, Alpha. The party’s over.” Benson bowed and remained that way until Maverick turned around to face us.
“Let’s go,” he said.
“You heard him, girls,” Storm said.
Evyn stared at me with big, wild eyes. I didn’t have the strength to explain things to her now. I was just glad to make it out of the house.
“I don’t want to think about what the hell happened right now. I’m taking Odessa,” Mav said.
“Wait! What about Evyn? River has her car keys.”
“River, huh?” Storm said, crossing his arms.
“He has our clothes too,” Evyn chimed in.
Mav eyed me from the fluffy black ears on my head to the tight black glittery heels on my feet.
“We’ll deal with River tomorrow,” Mav replied.
“Alright, Evyn, it looks like you’re with me,” Storm said, a wicked grin on his face.
Evyn’s eyes widened as saucers as excitement shone on her face like a child watching fireworks. I wasn’t sure it was a good idea.
“No, I can go with you,” I offered.
Evyn shot me daggers. “Of course not. There’s no space. Let’s go.”
She marched off as if she knew where Storm parked his car!
“This should be fun,” Storm said, mischief glistening in his blue eyes.
Once they were gone, Maverick dragged me into the sea of cards.
“This wasn’t what I imagined when I invited you. What the hell are you wearing?” He ranted. “What animal is that?”
“It’s a… a wildcat.”
“Great, fucking great.”
“Obviously, I didn’t plan this! I thought you’d already be here. I don’t like this any more than you do!”
Mav pulled down his zipper and ripped his jacket off. He draped it over my shoulders with the elegance of an ogre. He ripped the passenger door open to his SUV and ordered me to get inside. There was only one problem. How would I sit with a butt-plug in my ass!
It was a mission to get that thing in there. Mav didn’t give me a chance to explain, he was already in the driver’s seat.
“Well?”
“Fine,” I murmured.
I slipped onto the seat, but there was no way for me to sit that wouldn’t alert me of the plug’s presence in my ass. The bumpy road didn’t help either. I gripped the seat, trying to keep myself elevated. My efforts were in vain, and Mav was too busy ranting to notice. The more he ranted, the more violently he drove!
I sat down heavily. It pushed the plug deeper into me.
I cried out. “Ah!”
“What now?” Mav slammed on the brakes.
I panted. The feeling of the foreign object in my ass was oddly arousing.
“I’m sorry, you’re obviously distressed, it’s not like I’m the one with an object in her ass!” I said sarcastically.
Mav blinked a few times. “You what?”
I gripped the black and yellow tail. “What do you think this is connected to?”
Mav shoved his fist in his mouth and muffled a laugh. “Is it vibrating?”
“It vibrates?” I gasped.
He barked out a laugh. “I’ll take it out.”
“Where are we going?”
“To my house, relax, Wildcat.”

Odessa POV“Are you sure my hair is okay? I used two bottles of gel to get it laid down,” Evyn said.“It’s perfect. Your curls are awesome.”She smiled at me from the passenger seat. I drove her blue second-hand truck. It wasn’t as flashy as the other cars, but she got the job done.“Are you going to tell me what’s going on now? We have like twenty minutes until we get to the party.”“I would, but you’ll be freaking out the entire time.”“I will not!”I’d known this girl since we were pre-teens, practically our whole lives. She was as bad a liar as I, loyal to a fault, and subtlety wasn’t one of her best qualities.Since the incident with the pictures happened, I went to live with Evyn and her family. Mom and Barnette were still on their honeymoon. There was no one to save me from Sienna.“I’ll explain everything after tonight. I promise.”Maverick shocked me when he said he wanted our relationship, or whatever it was that had formed between us. I was scared he would realise how impor
Maverick POVOdessa Sloane. Why her of all the women in this Pack? I won’t deny it, she’s gorgeous. The day she waltzed back into my life, her scent drove me insane. There was nothing my wolf wanted more than to be between her legs. For a second before she disappeared into the kitchen, I thought she might be the one. My fated mate. My wolf didn’t say anything, though.I found her alone, isolated from the party. I thought if the two of us were alone, I’d sense her as my mate, but that didn’t happen. She didn’t feel anything by the looks of things, and my wolf didn’t feel the presence of the mate bond.I still thought her scent was incredible, and I wanted to dive right into her. I couldn’t be so reckless, though. It was the right thing for me to remain without a mate. She would become my weak spot, and a target would form on her head.Storm threw the ball, aiming for my head. I caught it before it made contact.“Where’s your head at?” Storm asked.“Hangover Cap?” Slider asked. His real
Odessa POVThe Daciana Wildcats had a massive game this weekend. Despite the ache in my body and the fog in my brain, I had to come to work if I wanted to keep my job. I went around the stadium picking up trash and leaves blown here by the wind. The football team hadn’t arrived yet. How could they when they partied until three in the morning! The cheerleaders were on the field practising their latest routine.Sienna might be a territorial witch, but I had to confess she was great at her job. There was a reason everyone loved her. She directed her teammates in the new stances and cautioned them about timing.I watched as Sienna and Rune, the other head cheerleader, took their positions to start their high-flying routine.“Hey, are you done?!” Someone yelled, and I snapped out of it.“I… uh…” I said, frantically looking around for something to pick up.“Get out of here, you freak!”“Ugh, I swear I can’t escape this girl,” Sienna complained.I picked up my garbage bag and moved to the n
Odessa POV“None of your business, Mav,” Gage growled. He tried to sidestep his friend, but Maverick stood his ground.“It’s my business when you don’t answer the phone, miss an important meeting and upset your girlfriend so much she tries to cut off our balls.”“I was busy, okay?” Gage barked.“With Odessa?” Maverick snapped.I blinked a few times. “What? N-No.”“I’m not with her. I just got here. Now, can I go inside and see my girlfriend?”They stared each other down, but ultimately Maverick stood aside. When it came time for me to walk through, Maverick blocked the entrance again.“This isn’t funny. I thought you grew up,” I said, crossing my arms.“I told you I’d keep my eye on you.”“I’m not doing anything wrong,” I said, swallowing.Technically, Gage was my fated mate, and our relationship was pure and beautiful. I couldn’t describe how I felt when I was with him. It was a blend of disbelief, confusion and hope. However, when I was around Maverick, it was ick, rage and annoyanc
Odessa POV“So I can’t come over?” Evyn asked.I pinned my phone against my ear and shoulder as I pulled out a freshly baked sponge cake from the oven. I carried the cake to the dining room, where I could decorate it. Baking was my stress reliever.“I didn’t say that I’m just worried about the welcome you’ll receive. I’ve been here for three days and I’m lucky to be alive. This house has stairs!”“Don’t be dramatic, Odessa, no one’s going to kill you.”“That’s what you think. This is Sienna’s castle, and she has no plans of moving out soon.”“If it’s a castle, I wouldn’t want to move out either! So tell me what it’s like seeing the Fab Three every day?”“They don’t come around as often… Storm’s barely here.”“I’d be dreaming about the time they finally show up.”Mom and Barnette were planning to go away on their honeymoon. I’d be toast then. Honestly, I couldn’t find an apartment on my own yet, and I had one more year left in college. My cleaning job could barely pay my tuition, much
