The same generic voice played after I had placed a call to Carlson.

‘Leave a message behind,’ staring at the wall in front of me. I took a tired breath.

“Carlson, we need to talk. I don't know why you have been avoiding me for days now. Could you please pick up the phone?”

I tossed my phone away, throwing my hands over my hair and putting a hand on my waist, walking from one end of the room.

Carlson always visits; what happened now? Why isn't he picking up?

Has he forgotten about our agreement, or is he hurt? Is he okay?

Did something bad happen to him?No no, this shouldn't be happening now.

I have gone to his locked-up dorm, and the only place I have to go now is for classes.

I have been avoiding it like forever.

Not after receiving those humiliations in front of everyone.
