Chapter Seventy Five. Anastasia's POV.I thought this enormous place that looks exactly like the Kingdom in movies has no one, but as I run outside, I would rather bump into people who stand as though they are bricks, or I'd just see them staring at me. Judging by their hard contours, I can tell that they aren't humans. A Human cannot be bumped into and not shaken at all. I got even scared as I see more and more of them who are Vampires. I'm literally in a space where I can just blink my eyes and find myself hooked with my neck in someone's neck as they suck my blood. Ew. That's so gross. Just the thought of it makes me want to retch all the content in my stomach. But apart from all that, I feel depressed, distress and in discomfort. I hate that I was played by everyone I know. It is all making sense now. Did you remember that time Cole Hunter and some others were sacked from work and new staffs were hired? Questions my inner voice. I think at that time it was Vampires that fille
Chapter Seventy Six. Anastasia's POV.I am staring at Ola in awe, not being able to completely believe her, but because of who I am, I am convinced that she might a human. I mean, she did even say it earlier, when I was at the kitchen with her, at the time I remembered everything. "Please, you don't look like a killer, so do us a favour. Drop the fork, please. You'll only kill a human like yourself." She says. From the way she acts and judging it with the way Olivia and the other women Vampires, if that's what they are called, that I have seen in my time here, so far, she is different. She gives me the vibe of humanity. But then, I don't know what to think exactly. When I didn't say anything, she states, "I'll drop this down, and we can talk as you eat. I think you should be hungry since you didn't eat much earlier. I would like to talk with you, and as it seems, the rain would soon drop. You'd need a hot tea anyway." She tells me as she drops the plate. I look at it and back to
Chapter Seventy Seven.Nicholas's POV. My body is in the air, elevated. I am hovering, without any support and my hands are by my side, spread out, including my palms. I allow myself to feel the intensity of my powers, letting it course through my veins. I could feel the other presence in my body, making it self present that we both share it and open my eyes all of a sudden. My lids turn into a colour as that of a bloodshot, crimson red and soon, I am connected to my inner core, to my monster. By the way, we haven't talked in a very long time, in this manner, where he is able to have a spirit of his own, his essence, able to talk individually, and not from the inside of our core. My monster begins, "you have not summoned me because of that unnecessary meeting, have you?"Fine, he's pissed and he wishes to lash it out at me. "Why are you angry at it, by the way?" I go straight to the point and he scoffs. "I have made it known that the Werewolves are trying to ridicule us. Why wou
Chapter Seventy Eight.Unedited.Anastasia's POV.I have been thinking about everything that has just transpired in my life within a few hours, and has changed my view of things. It's so crazy how around this time a week ago, I do not even have an idea that all my imaginations and the things that I write down in books actually exist in the human world, and crazy enough, not just in any universe, but in my own, specifically. And I still have no idea to go about it. I mean, all the pretence that makes me feel like the fool here only concludes that just as I write in my books that Vampires are smart are as they are in reality as well. And then, it just makes more sense. They have to be smart, as they have been living for a very long time. And speaking of living for a very long time, who knows how old Nicholas is?I mean, I am attracted to someone who may be the same age as my great great great grandfather, or maybe even older than all of their ages combined together. I don't know. Je
Chapter Seventy Nine.Unedited.Nicholas's POV.I am seated on the black leather seat, inside my study room, and opposite to me is Hillary. We've been discussing about things that we have to do in preparation of whatever the Hunters or Werewolves might have in plan for us. I have told him to send some of our men, the powerful and trained ones, to the camps where some of the Werewolves are settled down and find out what they are planning. And because of that, a few minutes ago, Xander sent for Liam. He is one of Hillary's most trusted men, who has also proved himself worthy to protect the crown in every chance he has, so I think he can lead in the work. When I was done, I drop the paperwork and stand up, heading towards the small bar at the other side of the room. In a few minutes, I walk back inside with a bottle of red wine in my hands. For a second, my mind drifts back to Anastasia that if she sees me drinking this, she might think it is a human's blood or something like that.
Chapter Eighty. Nicholas's POV.Hillary and Enit'ayanf are almost the same. They both hate how Cyrus, Raven, and Cornelius act. Hillary and Enit'ayanf are something close to saint in the Vampiric world, especially when it comes to royals, whilst Cyrus, Raven, and Cornelius are the black sheep, the ones who don't care at all. They act on impulses, on whatever it is they want to. Just from a thought, they have acted, so yes, I am sure this incoming brother's feast is going to be a hot one when you consider Anastasia being in the Kingdom. To even include Ola, she does repel those three guys, too, because they always toy with her, which only angers Xander more. Jeez! There's going to be a lot of drama. "By the way, have you been thinking of what Cyrus, Raven, and Cornelius would think when you tell them who Anastasia is to you?" Questions Hillary without any break. I shift my eyes away from his. "I haven't thought of it, and I don't plan on telling them yet, about her.""So, you want
Chapter Eighty One.Anastasia's POV."Please, take a seat," says Nicholas, as though he does care for me that much.On the contrary, I am surprised by how much I am able to hold myself from collapsing at this moment where I am close to them such that I can even smell their cologne, especially Hillary's since he is closer to me. I maintain my pretense of not intimidated by them, but trust me, I am crumbling on the inside. However, I don't plan on changing anything now. I am here already, and let's get into the business, into my reason for coming here in the first place. "I have something to discuss." I go straight to the point, to the reason why I have come here in the first place. I see a fold in Nicholas's forehead. He is confused. And I have also rejected his offer which wanted me to take a seat. I am not here for comfortability. "And what is that?" Says Hillary, out of the blue. I think Nicholas is still trying to wrap his head around what I want to discuss and again, we've bee
Chapter Eighty TwoUnedited. Anastasia's POV.Outside of Nicholas's room, I check the door along the hallway, from where I saw a woman earlier, whom Ola told me to be Madeleine. And as expected, the door is closed. Soon, we arrive at the first room that leads to the front door, and surprisingly, I haven't seen any Vampire. I thought this building was a Kingdom, so it's sort of strange that I don't find Vampires roaming the space. Anyway, I am glad because it only helps to keep my mind in a calm-y state. We are almost reaching the front gate when I hear name called by someone familiar. I turn to face Anthony. I was a little surprised when I don't see Owen next to him, as they always move together, at least, most of the time. He comes to wrap his hands around me. "please, be safe. Don't get taken away by those people." He tells me in a tiny voice. Plus, he's giving me the puppy eye look that makes me want to just listen to him and perhaps even stay back. For a second, I feel like I
