Nicole stood still as she ordered her bodyguard to carry her. She was waiting patiently but her face was showing the opposite as she was frowning.

Fadz didn't know how to respond right away. Looking at how annoyed his Little Boss was, he wasn't sure where to touch or hold her. He was scratching his head, totally clueless of what to do.

She looked up at her bodyguard as she felt like he wasn't moving at all.

"Why do you make me wait?" Nicole snapped. "Didn't you offer to carry me?"

Her tone was no longer calm and soft. She was annoyed that she was standing in front of her house and Fadz is making her wait for something he himself had offered to be done.

Fadz's face had turned pale. He really wished to rather be on a battlefield with bullets raining and bombs exploding in times like this. In times when his Little Boss is demanding for unusual things, like carrying her in his arms when she used to hate being touched. He didn't know how to be careful and his cautiousness was holding him from taking any move to execute the order. He was praying to all gods and deities to help him get through this battle. He believes he can survive any war and alike, easier than this tricky personality of his Little Boss. He was moving his arms up and down, halfway, repeatedly, annoying Nicole even more.

"Boss..?" He called out very, very cautiously. He looked at her face and he was even more frightened to see her displeased. She was angrily staring at his face. Their eyes meet and Fadz quickly looked down.

If anyone from afar would be watching without knowing Nicole's personality, they would think this view is comical. Fadz is a big, bulky, well-built man while Nicole is petite and stands only to the guy's shoulders in height but the guy appears to be looking scared of the girl.

"What..?" Nicole answered with her arms crossed, glaring dagger eyes at her bodyguard.

She was going to accept his offer of help but seeing how he was reacting right now was starting to piss her off. She no longer wants to walk on her own. She wants him to carry her, not because he offered but because she demands him to carry her.

"How... can I... mmm.. is it okay if I...?" Fadz was like a stupid boy stuttering in front of Nicole right at the bottom of the entrance stairs leading to the door.

"What?! Is it okay if you touch me?" Nicole wanted to jump down his throat in annoyance. But she exhaled a breath and asked again. "Do you have any ways to carry me without touching me? If you do, fine!"

Fadz thought briefly, he is going to really lose his job if he fiddles or acts aimlessly. She said she didn't want a piggyback, so his options are to carry her like a sack of potatoes or like a baby in a cradle. The first option will surely decide his death, but the second is also a bit more awkward and scary. But then she demanded it. He will have no choice but to obey. And obey right away. He summoned his courage and bent on a half squat position to make his left arm reach the back of her knees while his right arm securely holds her behind her neck.

Then he slowly and carefully moved to lift her up. Nicole did not move her arms folded above her chest. She did not bother making herself secure. She knew so well her bodyguard will never let her fall. Not unless he wants to end his life very soon. Nicole isn't heavy at all. With Fadz's big body built, she is like a baby in his arms. Another reason he was even more careful. He is scared her single move would make him crush her in his hold. He cannot grip her tight, but he is too scared to hold her loosely. To top it all, he was even more nervous because she was glaring at him the whole walk, from the very first step stairs up to the very last step to her room door. A walk that lasted about a hundred steps. He had to walk two flights of stairs, one from the entrance and the other was the stairs going up to the second floor, where her room was.

Fadz was not bothered with her body touching his body, he could not feel any arousal at their contact, his mind was more preoccupied with fright about committing another mistake. He had never seen Nicole as a woman to lust for despite her beauty and unrevealed personality. He respects her as his employer. He even fears her.

The bodyguards arrived just right behind Nicole's car. They saw the whole incident, but they cannot come close to hearing what Fadz and Nicole were talking about. They can only see what is going on, but they don't know for sure. They started to get more confused when their lady boss held their leader by his arm and walked with her hands holding it. They did not notice Nicole having difficulty walking. They suddenly stopped, and their leader scratched his head. He was looking like a clueless boy in front of their young little boss. They would have cracked laughing had it been a different person Fadz Ling was with right now, but being well aware he is acting the way he is because he is also scared to lose his job, the situation didn't really amuse them. They were worried. Her mood changed very strangely after meeting with that crazy new guy.

Mike is labeled crazy by Nicole's bodyguards because he ran to Nicole, the scariest witch a sane man would surely run away from, not run into. And right now, their team leader is like walking on shattered glass. They are so curious about what makes Nicole upset and what makes their team leader act like a fool. They couldn't help exclaim their surprised reaction when they saw Fadz Ling carry her like a newborn baby lying in his arms.

"Oh, my god! He's going to die soon." One fearfully exclaimed.

He meant the die word in many different ways. Losing his job, tortured, and literally ending his life.

“Really?” Jude Parker said. “I didn’t hear the sound of it.” “When did the two of you leave the room?” Nicole asked worriedly. “When Chris said she needed to pee,” Mac answered innocently. “I see,” Nicole answered. “Did you ask for help from the nannies?” the mother asked gently. “Mac helped me. Right, Mac?” the little girl widened her eyes to her bother as if telling him to just agree. “Ah, yeah. Right!” Mac answered after nodding with his eyes closed to Chris as if affirming Chris’ words to be true. But their actions made the people around them doubt that whatever they were saying was the entire truth and nothing but the truth! “I have to welcome my guest,” Jude said. Then he turned to Lisa and the twins. “Do you mind if you guys come with me?” “Let’s go!” The twins answered excitedly. “The two of you should take your time. Mike, she cannot walk with speed yet like we normally do. Can I entrust her to your care or shall I do it myself?” Jude asked seriously. “Please,

  • The Queen of Bullies   Epilogue 2 Willingness

“First things first,” Jude said. He fished his phone out of his pocket and right in front of everyone at the table, he dialed a number and spoke like he was alone in the room. “My friend, am I not going to beat around the bush.” Jude’s words obviously expressed closeness to the person he was talking to. Not just by the tone and informality of his words, but by the loud cackle he made after saying them with a radiant smile sporting his face. But with only himself hearing the response of the person he was speaking to over the phone, only Jude’s voice could be heard by everyone with him in the room. “I am in darn need of your help, right now. And that means to say I need your presence right here in my place. I will send you the address—”Jude took a halt as if the other person said something to make him pause from his words. But the older man just laughed even louder than earlier he did. “I know, I know. Of course. Yeah. Yeah—” He halted again for a moment but reasoned with a boistero

  • The Queen of Bullies   Epilogue

Third Person's POVThe family of four, Mike, Nicole, Mac, and Chris, along with the older couple Lisa and Jude Parker had a wonderful meal. But of course, it didn’t end there. The whole day they had a blast. From the dining room where they had the most enjoyable brunch meal one could ever ask to experience, being with their beloved ones, the whole family moved to the air-conditioned gazebo in the backyard to enjoy their dessert. Aside from Chris, who chose to eat the cake first before eating the meal as her request, although it had been her habit to eat their servings before eating something else which made her take just a bite of the cake and eat her meal like everyone else at the table, everyone had the taste of the cake at the fancy resting room in the gazebo after their brunch. then they moved to the family recreation room or more of the kids’ play gallery to watch the twins play. “I am glad you all liked it,” Mike stated timidly. “This bakery is not unfamiliar to us, actually,

  • The Queen of Bullies   A Bubbly Daughter

Mike’s POV“Oh, that cake….” I mindlessly murmured when we arrived at the dining table and saw the design of the cake that I bought for Mac. The very same reason I had to run back home because I realized halfway down the stairs of my apartment building that I was not carrying anything in my hand aside from my phone. “I believe this is from you,” Mister Parker said as I timidly stood after I assisted Nicky to sit properly and comfortably on her chair. “But Fhadz brought it in when Mac realized you guys left the cake in the car,” he continued. I nodded as I smiled shyly. I had guessed Mac was from a well-off family. That was one of the reasons why I was hesitant to grant his request when he said he was inviting me to his birthday party. The same reason why I was cautious and conscious of what gift to bring him so I wouldn’t be attending his birthday party with empty hands. “I am not sure what to buy and bring for Mac to his birthday party and I have not been to any children’s party

  • The Queen of Bullies   Tickling Spark

Nicole’s POV“Dad, you might have to carry Mom to the dining hall,” my bubbly daughter said to Mike.“Huh?” Mike grunted. He seemed flustered for a moment. But before Chris could say anything to acknowledge Mike’s very brief expression, Mac explained to Mike for Chris as if they were telepathic about what Chris was going to say to elaborate on her words. It amazed me how my toddlers could communicate in such a mystical way, even in other instances where they seemed to have the same idea and thoughts. I guess I will never know such things on my own because I never had and never will I ever get the chance to have a twin sibling in this lifetime.“Mom has been in a wheelchair for years, but she started taking treatment and therapy a few months ago. I think she is a bit shocked to have you around today. Her legs must have frozen again. She can’t walk,” Mac spoke indifferently.“What do you mean?” Mike asked, frowning. More than any other emotions, I saw pain and regret in his eyes as he

  • The Queen of Bullies   Immense Joy

Mike’s POV“I am glad you didn’t know. See, you are graduating from your chosen course. While I am still taking my degree,” Nicole laughed softly, comforting me. My chest hurt like crazy, but the fact– although it was unbelievable, that Nicky was comforting me appeased me as well. Her simple words, the mere sound of her voice, the mere scent radiating from her body–even from her breath, they all soothed me like magic. Yet, again, I could not keep the sound of my muffled cries from being heard. But Nicky continued. “I had to take a longer break than usual maternity cases due to the accident.”The last word she mentioned pierced my heart fiercely again. I blame myself so badly for shutting myself out from anything that had to do with Nicky. I begged Justin not to mention her name or anything about her. Now, even if Justin knew about what happened back then, I can’t blame him for not telling me. This thought made me groan in pain even more.“Don’t despair so much. We got who the crim
