In her bedroom, in a teasing fashion, Lady Su begins to undress, with a coquestish gaze directed at the King here and there. Back in her chambers, Yuelan paces restlessly as she watches the physician attend to Mei. “What is wrong with her?” She impatiently questions for the third time since the physician’s arrival. The Palace physician feels Mei’s pulse for a few seconds longer before turning to answer the Queen. “I believe your servant passed out from exhaustion. When was the last time she ate something?” Yuelan doesn’t have the answer to the question, so she looks to A-yan for answers. The brunette looks away with a sheepish expression.
