Game Over

Xalia opened her eyes as she heard her name being called repeatedly. Her eyes widened as she opened them fully and saw Emily tied to a chair opposite her.

They were at each end of the room. Emily was dressed in a beautiful gown, it looked like she had been kidnapped during her dinner.

“What the fuck is this place? Why am I here?” Emily screamed at her and Xalia looked around to see if she could see the man she spoke to earlier.

“What did you do, bitch?” Emily screamed and Xalia looked at her.

“I… I don't know. I was kidnapped.” she stuttered and Emily chuckled.

“Oh, I know you know. You’ve always found ways to ruin me!”

“That's not true,” Xalia replied with her voice breaking.

She was about to speak again when they heard footsteps. They both paid attention to the direction and slowly Jack showed up.

“Oh my God, thank God.” Emily sighed in relief and Xalia did too.

Finally, she would be free.

“If you take a step closer to her, a bullet goes in her head.” A voice said as Jack was about to walk to Emily.

The man from earlier showed up from another direction in the room.

“She has nothing to do with this, let her go,” Jack said to him and he raised his brows.

“Which one?” he asked and Jack looked back and forth between Xalia and Emily.

“If it’s her, she has a lot to do with this,” he said pointing at Xalia.

“I knew we were in this because of you. You just want to ruin everything for me, don't you? God, I hate you so much, I have always hated you!” Emily screamed in tears at Xalia and she felt her heart shatter.

“Emily, calm down,” Jack said and she scoffed.

“Don't tell me to fucking calm down! This is our wedding night and I am here with this bitch and a crazy man!” she screamed as she struggled in the chair.

“I will get you out of here,” Jack told her and she scoffed.

“Let’s play a game everyone.” the guy suddenly said and walked to the middle of the room, everyone could see him clearly.

Again, he didn't look familiar to Xalia. She had no idea who he was or what was going on.

“This button here activates a bomb, a bomb with just a five-minute timer. If I push it, it begins and this building will blow up which means you have two minutes to save one of them. Which one are you going to save? The one who is with your child or the one without your child?” he asked and Emily chuckled.

“Oh, God.”

“I am not playing any dumb games… “ Jack trailed off as he pressed the button.

“Good luck,” he said and walked away. Jack rushed to Emily immediately.

He freed Emily in seconds which gave him enough time to free her and Xalia was hopeful but Jack held Emily’s hand and pulled her towards the exit.

Xalia froze for a second as tears streamed down her cheeks but reality dawned on her the next second.

“Jack! Jack! Jack!” she screamed as she struggled in the chair.

“No, no, no.” she cried.

Jack pulled Emily till they got out of the building and far away.

He was about to rush back in when Emily held him.

“What the hell are you doing?”

“Xalia is in there and the building is about to blow up,” he said and Emily gave him a look.

“Yeah, so?” she asked and he stared at her in disbelief.

“What? She will die!” he yelled.

“And that solves all our problems!”

“What the fuck, Emily? She is your friend, your best friend!”

“Who the hell cares?” she screamed at him.

“If you go back in that building you will regret it, I swear to God!” she threatened.

“Come on, we have already done enough for her. We took everything she had, everything! Why the hell does she have to die too?”

“You care about her now? Really? Now, you want to care? This was both our idea!” she screamed at him.

“Let her die, Jack. She doesn't deserve saving,” she said and Jack held his hair as he turned to the building.

“Oh, God,” he muttered as he felt his heart race.

He was about to rush back to the building when it blew up. He froze as he felt a sharp pain in his chest.

Emily stood behind him with a wide smile.

“Game over.”
