Start of her misery

Taunting Jayson continuingly is something Wesley derives great joy from – to him, Jayson is closely related to a human, since he's the weakest of them all.

His inability to make major decisions at crucial moments is something that adds immensely to his brother's cockiness. Jayson held his tongue, preventing himself from blabbing something that'll probably sound senseless to Wesley.

A smirk crept swiftly up his lips as he gazed down at Jayson's expression – it simply portrayed how downcasted he was.

Wesley huffed arrogantly, turned and began walking off elegantly, leaving Jayson rooted to a spot. As soon as Wesley had walked a great distance through the hallway, Jayson banged his door shut.

"Fuck” he whispered, his fingers curling into an anger ball. Steadily, he lifted his eyes to glance at his bed – slowly, his nostrils got filled with a sweet fragrance. Surely, it belonged to Kiera.

She's meant to be nothing more but a mere maid, yet he finds himself trying to help – maybe it's because of his human sympathy; something he's sure all his brothers lack.

Meanwhile, Kiera had been going deeper in the hallway without a single destination in mind – heck! It's natural she's confused since it's literally her first day here. Technically, it's the second, then again she had been unconscious throughout the previous day. Kiera found the entire place overly confusing – the hallway she's on can be particularly described as freaking long, extremely glamorous and reeked of wealth.

“A fortune must have been spent on all these” she muttered, still flabbergasted by the entire place. While she stood motionlessly in the hallway and gaped admirably on, the sound of an opening door was heard.

Gently, the door was opened entirely, revealing Sidney. Kiera unintentionally turned to glance at him. For a moment, she almost got lost staring at the handsome man.

She's aware the Jackson quintuplets were rumored to be astonishingly good-looking, but she didn't completely believe in it. Well, now she does. Unlike the others Kiera had come across, he's the only one with a different pair of eyes; he had uncommon electric blue eyes which suited his face perfectly.

Kiera unknowingly had been gawking endlessly at him – much to his vexation. The fact that a commoner was gaping so shamelessly at him got his veins filled with rage. Her entire existence disgusts him, yet she dared stare at him? He retained himself from yelling at her, as he slammed the door shut boisterously.

She snapped out of her thoughts and shamefully chewed her lips. “I can't believe I was drooling over him,” she muttered, a bit disappointed in herself. While her head got lowered to the crimson red carpet, her mind raced back home – only the Moon Goddess knows what might have happened to Greg. She wonders if he's still alive or the beast for a father has killed him off.

The thought of that sent countless shivers down her spine, as she chewed her lips hardly more. Kiera got engrossed in her thoughts, she never noticed his presence. He stood behind her with a perverted grin on his lips.

Taking advantage of her obliviousness, he tenderly encircled his arms around those slender waists. Initially, he found it odd she's dressed so nicely, then again recalled Jayson took her to his room the previous night.

Kiera gasped shockingly once she felt arms being wrapped on her waist. She tried to break free while he leaned in closer.

Jayden rested his head on her left shoulder, and she gazed at him. Her heart skipped numerous beats due to the closeness of their faces.

“Kai, good morning” Jayden greeted with a coquettish smile on his face. Kiera rigged gently, hoping she'll break free from his hold, yet he didn't bulge.

“A… Alpha g…good morning” she stuttered, obviously uncomfortable. “The name's Jayden Kai” he winked sweetly but stared extremely confusingly at her the instant her body began trembling uncontrollably.

“Kai?” he called and unknowingly loses his grip. She slid from his hold immediately yet couldn't stop herself from shaking continuously.

“Are you okay?” he reached for her when an irritated scoff was heard. Jayden turned to glance at Wesley.

From his footsteps, it was evident he was pissed. “Don't tell me you're also fucking with this hag, Jay!” Wesley rasped inquiringly, but angrily. Jayden, however, rolled his eyes nonchalantly at him.

“It isn't your business, so fuck off” he scowled nastily. Wesley clearly wasn't in the mood to brawl with anyone as he marched towards Kiera. He grabbed her hand roughly, making a wince elicit from her lips.

“Dude?” Jayden called from behind. “Shut the fuck up, okay. I can't believe how lenient you and that mushroom for brains are acting towards this slut. She's a slave, which must be treated as one. If you all can't show her that, I'll do it with pleasure!” he said aggressively and afterward pulled her away.

Jayden didn't see the need to trail after them, so returned to his room. Yet, he kept thinking hard about her reaction – she acted so frightened due to a mere hug? Is she that sensitive?

Meanwhile, Wesley could be seen dragging Kiera to God knows where. She tried not to wince again, since it's clear, he'll get more angered. After what seemed like an eternity, they arrived at a…garden?

Kiera's eyes tripled in size as she beheld the orchard of grapes. She couldn't believe how plentiful it was – were the Alphas running a wine industry or what?

“Hey!” Wesley's harsh tone broke into her thoughts. He glared resentfully at her, then tossed her easily towards numerous bushes filled with luscious grapes.

He pointed to a basket which was also wearable before speaking. “You're mandated to pluck every single grape before nightfall. Do you understand?” he ordered authoritatively, but the callousness in his tone couldn't be mistaken.

Kiera glanced at the bushes and nearly protested – how is she supposed to do that? They're over fifty bushes!
