Chapter 22I stepped into my coven meeting and everyone went silent. I was getting strange looks from my priests. Chapter 23“Ok… Uh, anywhere?” He said. I shrugged my shoulders. “I like to ask them where they want to be bitten. They seem to prefer the neck, but you’ll see why once you get in there.” I said. Chapter 24That night I didn’t sleep much. I could hear Amethyst's slow and steady heartbeat in the room to my left, and Ambrosias erratic heartbeat in the room to my right. Amethyst never had nightmares, she slept easily and without issue. Ambrosia, on the other hand, still seemed to suffer. I offered for her to sleep in my room with me, but she insisted that she sleep in her own room. Chapter 25Amethyst was going to hate me for it, but I already had a way to get him to talk. Katrina and I finished eating and decided to walk around the city for a bit, which may have been the worst idea I had today. Chapter 26(Amethyst)Nico’s home was a lot different than Rowen’s. It was more of a standard looking place, but it was still huge. Three levels and multiple rooms throughout. His home wasn’t really decorated but he did have black and Silver accents throughout on his furniture and rugs. I noticed that the entire home was a nice shade of gray with black accent painting and then the dusting of silver that matched his eyes… When they weren’t red, of course. His skin was a beautiful porcelain color, which accented his pitch black hair and brought out the silver in his eyes. His jawline was sharp and he had short trimmed facial hair. Chapter 27(Rowen) The next couple of days went by without a hitch. No sign of The Others, no attempts on the amulet, nothing weird. Even my security detail was bored. I thought Ambrosia would be upset that Amethyst was gone but she seemed fine. She was bustling around, decorating the house with the new things she purchased a few days ago, and Rosa was busy preparing lunch. It was Saturday and the Blood Ball was tonight. Chapter 28After we ate, the girls hung out and Nico arrived early with Amethyst. We showed him the dresses and he said it was fine to dress her in the silver one as he had no idea what she was going to wear anyways. So it ended up working out to our liking. We had gotten everyone ready, including ourselves, and we were just waiting for the girls to come down from hair and makeup. Chapter 29I tried to keep my composure in front of Ambrosia, but Lucian always got under my skin. “Insufferable prick.” I mumbled under my breath, and I heard Ambrosia laugh a tiny bit at my comment.
