“Are we really doing this?” Sawyer asks as Huck drives to the gates of Iris’s Pack.

“Well, they could have killed us back at the diner, instead they pled for the lives of these creatures. Maybe we give them the benefit of a doubt?” Huck tells him.

“Okay, but if they try to kill us, there isn't much we will be able to do,” Sawyer reminds him.

“We will do what we can with what we have,” Huck tells him. Without really thinking, Huck reaches for and squeezes Sawyer’s hand.

Sawyer turns his hand and interlocks their fingers. Holding Huck’s hand feels natural. Huck seems to think the same because he doesn’t pull away.

When they arrive at the gate, they are told to leave their car.

“You can’t bring that cargo onto pack lands. Too many pups,” Iris tells them.

“How do we know that your guards won’t destroy the cargo, as you call it,” Sawyer asks.

Iris smirks and bring Zaphyra forward a bit to give an Alpha Command.

“This vehicle and its cargo will remain safe, untouched and undisturbed,” Iris
