CHAPTER FOURTY ONE

Ethan's POV

"What... What did you inject me with?" I managed to rasp, my voice barely audible, as I locked eyes with Dr. Thorne. His expression held a mixture of concern and determination, his hand still clutching the syringe. But his words eluded me, lost in the fog that clouded my thoughts.

Dr. Thorne's voice reached me as if from a great distance, distorted and fragmented. "You... have been consumed by darkness, Ethan," he said, his words carrying a weight of resignation. "This injection is meant to weaken the hold it has on you. To give you a chance to find yourself again."
