Masuk“You are a mistake! I never loved you. So why should I marry you?” He coldly said to her, as she was on her knees, tears streaming down her cheeks. The gown that was once all white was now dirty after staying in that filthy place for weeks without being cared for.
She raised her head and looked in his eyes but all she could see in those heartless eyes was his coldness. There wasn’t even an ounce of love. As if it was ever there.
However, seeing the indifference the man now showed her. She felt like a joke but she didn’t want to just die without even understanding why this was all happening.
Even if he didn’t love her or have found his mate. Why was she being treated as if she had committed treasonous acts? She just couldn’t understand and accept that.
“How did I wrong you? I need to know. What wrong did I commit to you?” she tearfully asked, her fists clenched.
“Tche! I didn’t think that you were this shameless, Elowyn. Even until now, you haven’t realized the crimes you have committed?” there was disdain in that voice, and she started having a foreboding feeling.
There was something wrong here, but she didn’t know what exactly. However, from what she knew, she didn’t remember doing anything that went against her morals. So, what was he talking about?
Perhaps he saw that she didn’t have a clue about what he was saying. So, he kindly shared.
“I didn’t think that the meeting was something that you schemed. You made me feel as if I was saved and yet you …..” he gritted his teeth angrily, fists clenched as he glared at her.
She couldn’t help but tremble with fear seeing him so angry like that. But what was he talking about?
When did she scheme against him? How come she, the person being talked about, didn’t have a single clue?
“W-wh_” she wanted to ask, but he cut her off with a bellow, which made her fall on her back and she groaned in pain, her hand involuntarily clutching her belly.
However, that one action angered him so much that he kicked her hard in the belly she was protecting and she yelped in pain as she hit the wall.
Her head spun, in so much pain and her hand unconsciously clutched on her belly which was hurting like crazy.
“And you dare sleep around with other men. How dare you try to pin those bastards on me? How can a mere human being give birth to my children? Did you take me for a fool, Elowyn?”
He was so angry and she could feel it. However, listening to those words, Elowyn couldn’t refute a single thing despite knowing that she was innocent. Her legs were wet and something was streaming down her legs. She didn’t even need to ask to know what was that.
That kick was very powerful. It would be a miracle if she didn’t miscarry. Perhaps it was a good thing. After all, with how she was locked in such a filthy place. Her children would suffer if they came into this world. She would rather lose them now than for them to suffer with her in the future.
Judging by his tone, Elowyn could tell that Hilary was determined to make her the villain in this story. No explanation would make him change his mind. So why bother wasting time?
With such thoughts, Elowyn found no strength to argue for herself and that move even made him certain that she indeed cheated on him.
Hilary was so angry at her but he held himself back and didn’t confront her again. He angrily flicked his arms and left the cell.
With him gone, Elowyn hugged her aching body, tears silently streaming down her cheeks as she wondered how she even got to this point.
She didn’t know how long she sat there, with the unbearable pain tearing through her belly and the blood pooling around her. It was too dark and no one would see though they would know. After all, how could werewolves not even smell that there was blood?
Perhaps they didn’t care much, thus she was ignored.
She didn’t know how long she was in that state but at some point, later, in her drowsy state, she heard the door to her cell being opened.
‘Who is it again?’ she wondered, shuddering with fear. She didn’t want to be tormented again or have someone see her in her mystery.
Unfortunately, prisoners didn’t have rights.
Moments later, a woman crouched in front of her, pinched her chin and forced her to raise her head. That way, she could see the other properly.
Although there was a haze in Elowyn’s eyes, she would never fail to recognize the woman who just visited her; Veda. The mate, the man she loved dearly just married and mated with.
She was the woman who appeared on the day that was supposed to be Elowyn’s birthday and wedding day. Everything was ruined, and she was here to laugh at her. She could see the mocking laughter in Veda’s eyes.
Surely, her guess was on point.
“Aren’t you curious, how he turned out that way?” Veda provokingly asked but Elowyn was so tired and she didn’t have any strength to argue with anyone at all.
Veda realized that and her eyes flickered with gloominess. Her old on Elowyn’s chin tightened making Elowyn gasp in pain and Veda to show a perverted smile as if enjoying her suffering.
“Even if you don’t want to know. I will tell you,” Veda sarcastically said, her tone filled with mocking. It drove Elowyn so crazy, she tried to push Veda away but the other was so strong.
As a result, Elowyn shed tears as she beat her chest frustratedly as she watched Veda leave the cell laughing heartily, her mocking laughter echoing in her ears as she left majestically.
“How could you? Why didn’t you just kill me? Why? Why? Why?” she cried painfully, blood dripping from her lips, her eyes red shot.
The pain was so piercing and it felt like she had a large sore on her chest and throat that seemed to be refusing to heal. It was so painful that she felt so suffocated.
Her head was throbbing, and she was feeling faint. Veda’s mocking laughter worsened her situation. She just wanted to end it all.
What else did she have left?
‘It’s not over! Open your eyes, darling. Things can change. Do you just want to let them go easily like that? Aren’t you letting down your mother badly by being a coward? Was that how she taught you?’
As she found herself sinking into the depths of the unknown, a scornful voice rang in her mind jolting her out of the sinkhole that was about to swallow her.
‘Who are you? What are you? How dare you speak ill of my mother?’ she might be a coward or a failure but how could this damn voice cuss her mother like that?
“Come one, take a breath. There … there….” Thankfully, Bryssa came in for the rescue and patted Lizzy until she was better making Elowyn feel better.‘I might have shocked her!’ she could only think like that. After all, she even shocked herself. So how could others not be shocked?Sara was also startled by the unexpected incident. Seeing Lizzy’s eyes so wide as she choked on meat was very unexpected. All the anger she was feeling towards Elowyn vanished as it was replaced by something else – confusion. What was happening?Unfortunately, that question would remain unanswered, as she didn’t get to think further about that since Elowyn made another move again.“Lizzy, you ….. you really know how to make others worry, don’t you?” Elowyn suddenly chided Lizzy as she unhooked herself from Sara, leaving her there standing while she rushed to Lizzy.Lizzy glar
A few hours later, the girls who didn’t sleep much were wide awake and busy preparing for their departure.Outside the camper van, the three of them were very chatty, and no signs of the gloominess that washed over them a few hours ago visible. It was as if nothing happened.“Alas, I can’t believe that we are leaving this place!” Elowyn sighed dejectedly, holding her tiny waist as she looked reminiscently at the beautiful scenery.Lizzy’s lips twitched upon hearing that, finding Elowyn’s drama queen nature very pleasing to the eye at the moment.“Hehe, we can come again another time,” nonetheless Lizzy responded to Elowyn’s words and Elowyn grinned as she looked at Lizzy. At the same time, Bryssa watching the two’s interaction also added, “Only when we have camped all over the country,” her tone filled with reminder which made the other two to roll their eyes at her, making the atmosphere quite funny. The three friends teased each other as they continued with their preparation. Bryssa
When Elowyn heard that, she became thoughtful as she pondered who she was supposed to drag into this mess. The reason why they were just three of them without others was so that they could save others from being implicated.Of course, dragging in Grace was something she wasn’t opposed to. After all, the girl has always wanted to tag along and she could be trusted, but what about others? The Aynor pack wasn’t her pack but belonged to Kayden. She didn’t dare implicate them.[I also think that its time to come clean. Kayden wont harm you. As much as it pains me to admit that, the man does love you and will do everything to protect you. This case is becoming large and with his help, you might be able to eradicate a lot of tumors for the world.]When Elowyn heard that, she sighed inwardly feeling a headache coming. It’s been three years since she joined the pack and for the same time, she hadn’t exposed her secret. She unde
Bryssa and Lizzy both looked unwell after listening to Elowyn’s vision. They both couldn’t believe that the cruelty was even upgrading and this time, it was all because of them.If it weren’t for them, then these people might have faced the fate of being sold but not suffering such a painful death. They all knew how wicked and unfeeling dark witches were. Seeing how they were eager to shed so much blood and brazenly do it during the day, one could imagine what kind of situation was forcing the witches to do so.However, that wasn’t the case. The urgent matter was how their plan couldn’t follow the same track but needed to be changed.“So, if we don’t show up, the suspicion will continue to remain on us and more causalities might happen but this time targeting those around us?” Lizzy stated rather than asking, her eyes red with fury.Elowyn grunted in response, her fists still clenched and expression not look
“You …..” the woman stuttered as she turned her head mechanically, only to find herself looking at a woman she recognized fully well. What was she doing here? The woman remembered clearly how early that day she even met with this woman and even had a great chat. How she was busy praising her little darling and talked in great length about how she was in this place for a camping trip. She still remembered how she warned the other on how dangerous it was for women to enter the mountains without some protection but the woman promised that there were many and she didn’t need to worry about that. The woman felt at ease at learning about that. The two chatted for a while and the other party even gave her daughter a doll before leaving. The woman was starting to regret it. If she hadn’t met this woman and talked about the mountain, she wouldn’t have had an impulse to trek in there and s
“Hide, okay! No matter what you hear, don’t come out. Can you promise me?” a woman with her face covered in soot and other unexplainable things on her repeatedly warned the little girl who was trembling with fear, tears threatening to fall as she held tightly on the woman.“Mother~” she cried as she held on tightly on the woman but the woman gritted her teeth, determination flashing in her eyes as she firmly looked at the little girl waiting for an answer. With tears streaming down her cheeks, the little girl nodded her head, knowing that it was the best to listen to her mother.Upon seeing that, the woman sighed with relief and forced a smile on her face. The smile looked quite ugly but the little girl didn’t feel fear at looking at it but kept on crying without making a sound. She might be young but that doesn’t mean that she was a fool. However, in this case, just like before, listening to her mother was always the best. Her mother has always meant well for her. She would never hur
