“You are a mistake! I never loved you. So why should I marry you?” He coldly said to her, as she was on her knees, tears streaming down her cheeks. The gown that was once all white was now dirty after staying in that filthy place for weeks without being cared for.

She raised her head and looked in his eyes but all she could see in those heartless eyes was his coldness. There wasn’t even an ounce of love. As if it was ever there.

However, seeing the indifference the man now showed her. She felt like a joke but she didn’t want to just die without even understanding why this was all happening.

Even if he didn’t love her or have found his mate. Why was she being treated as if she had committed treasonous acts? She just couldn’t understand and accept that.

“How did I wrong you? I need to know. What wrong did I commit to you?” she tearfully asked, her fists clenched.

“Tche! I didn’t think that you were this shameless, Elowyn. Even until now, you haven’t realized the crimes you have committed?” there was disdain in that voice, and she started having a foreboding feeling.

There was something wrong here, but she didn’t know what exactly. However, from what she knew, she didn’t remember doing anything that went against her morals. So, what was he talking about?

Perhaps he saw that she didn’t have a clue about what he was saying. So, he kindly shared.

“I didn’t think that the meeting was something that you schemed. You made me feel as if I was saved and yet you …..” he gritted his teeth angrily, fists clenched as he glared at her.

She couldn’t help but tremble with fear seeing him so angry like that. But what was he talking about?

When did she scheme against him? How come she, the person being talked about, didn’t have a single clue?

“W-wh_” she wanted to ask, but he cut her off with a bellow, which made her fall on her back and she groaned in pain, her hand involuntarily clutching her belly.

However, that one action angered him so much that he kicked her hard in the belly she was protecting and she yelped in pain as she hit the wall.

Her head spun, in so much pain and her hand unconsciously clutched on her belly which was hurting like crazy.

“And you dare sleep around with other men. How dare you try to pin those bastards on me? How can a mere human being give birth to my children? Did you take me for a fool, Elowyn?”

He was so angry and she could feel it. However, listening to those words, Elowyn couldn’t refute a single thing despite knowing that she was innocent. Her legs were wet and something was streaming down her legs. She didn’t even need to ask to know what was that.

That kick was very powerful. It would be a miracle if she didn’t miscarry. Perhaps it was a good thing. After all, with how she was locked in such a filthy place. Her children would suffer if they came into this world. She would rather lose them now than for them to suffer with her in the future.

Judging by his tone, Elowyn could tell that Hilary was determined to make her the villain in this story. No explanation would make him change his mind. So why bother wasting time?

With such thoughts, Elowyn found no strength to argue for herself and that move even made him certain that she indeed cheated on him.

Hilary was so angry at her but he held himself back and didn’t confront her again. He angrily flicked his arms and left the cell.

With him gone, Elowyn hugged her aching body, tears silently streaming down her cheeks as she wondered how she even got to this point.

She didn’t know how long she sat there, with the unbearable pain tearing through her belly and the blood pooling around her. It was too dark and no one would see though they would know. After all, how could werewolves not even smell that there was blood?

Perhaps they didn’t care much, thus she was ignored.

She didn’t know how long she was in that state but at some point, later, in her drowsy state, she heard the door to her cell being opened.

‘Who is it again?’ she wondered, shuddering with fear. She didn’t want to be tormented again or have someone see her in her mystery.

Unfortunately, prisoners didn’t have rights.

Moments later, a woman crouched in front of her, pinched her chin and forced her to raise her head. That way, she could see the other properly.

Although there was a haze in Elowyn’s eyes, she would never fail to recognize the woman who just visited her; Veda. The mate, the man she loved dearly just married and mated with.

She was the woman who appeared on the day that was supposed to be Elowyn’s birthday and wedding day. Everything was ruined, and she was here to laugh at her. She could see the mocking laughter in Veda’s eyes.

Surely, her guess was on point.

“Aren’t you curious, how he turned out that way?” Veda provokingly asked but Elowyn was so tired and she didn’t have any strength to argue with anyone at all.

Veda realized that and her eyes flickered with gloominess. Her old on Elowyn’s chin tightened making Elowyn gasp in pain and Veda to show a perverted smile as if enjoying her suffering.

“Even if you don’t want to know. I will tell you,” Veda sarcastically said, her tone filled with mocking. It drove Elowyn so crazy, she tried to push Veda away but the other was so strong.

As a result, Elowyn shed tears as she beat her chest frustratedly as she watched Veda leave the cell laughing heartily, her mocking laughter echoing in her ears as she left majestically.

“How could you? Why didn’t you just kill me? Why? Why? Why?” she cried painfully, blood dripping from her lips, her eyes red shot.

The pain was so piercing and it felt like she had a large sore on her chest and throat that seemed to be refusing to heal. It was so painful that she felt so suffocated.

Her head was throbbing, and she was feeling faint. Veda’s mocking laughter worsened her situation. She just wanted to end it all.

What else did she have left?

‘It’s not over! Open your eyes, darling. Things can change. Do you just want to let them go easily like that? Aren’t you letting down your mother badly by being a coward? Was that how she taught you?’

As she found herself sinking into the depths of the unknown, a scornful voice rang in her mind jolting her out of the sinkhole that was about to swallow her.

‘Who are you? What are you? How dare you speak ill of my mother?’ she might be a coward or a failure but how could this damn voice cuss her mother like that?

“On your trip, remember to be careful and don’t play anywhere in the woods,” Hilary solemnly advised, his tone laced with concern.Veda reached for his hand with hers and patted it comfortingly as she responded, “don’t worry. I know my limits. It’s quite dangerous out there recently,” acquiescing to him.Hilary smiled when he heard that and added more words of concern, “whatever happens, always ensure your safety with the child. Don’t act recklessly and beware of the dark witches. You never know if they might target even our kind.”Veda’s gaze darkened when she heard that and snorted, “Umph! Those uncultured swine! Don’t worry. I got some good medicine to ward off those swine. I will not let anything happen to me or our child, I promise!” her tone laced with a dangerous vibe that made Hilary feel very satisfied. His wife, and Luna wasn’t an ordinary woman. She was st

Several few hours ago.“Daddy! Mommy!” a little chubby boy of age three happily called his parents as he trotted towards them, a sheepish smile on his face making the parents to smile dotingly as they looked at him.Veda Smith looked at the little cub she painstakingly gave birth to three years ago and affectionately responded, “What does my little prince want?” asking the little cub as she closed the suitcase’s zip.The little boy came to a stop and looked at his mother, shyly playing with his chubby fingers and responded, “w-when are we leaving?” the twinkle in his eyes unhidden.Upon hearing that, Veda exasperatedly looked at her husband, Hilary and the man looked at her with a smile before looking at their son.“We are almost done. Pretty soon we will be leaving,” Veda answered their son, and the little boy beamed at hearing that.“Great!” he exclaimed happily before trott

Inside the car, only two voices could be heard, Sara’s and Elowyn’s.“Sis, I never thought that traveling was very dangerous nowadays. Can you believe it? Just because we were in the same place, no, closer to some places where certain murders took place, those officers have guts to look at us as suspects. How can they even think something like that? So many people go traveling and are found in some places, why didn’t they pick those?Sniff … just because they are incompetent and can’t find whoever did it, they are now targeting even the young ones?Damn! I am just twenty-four years, and still want to get married one day. If my future partner knows that I was taken in by the police one day just because …… waaaa …. Room 1“Do you know that in the period that you girls have been traveling and vacationing, in those six places, people died?” the male officer finally went to the point and Elowyn exclaimed as she covered her mouth, her eyes bulged as she looked so shocked.“How could that be? What happened? Where did people die? How did they die? Oh my goodness! How come I don’t know something like that?” her body shook as she asked the officer, looking quite traumatized.the male officer wasn’t sure how to proceed after getting such a response, but he still continued.“You don’t know about it?”“Officer, I go to vacations to have fun and not to look for murder cases or death. Life is already tough as it is. Do you think that I am that idle?”Room 2“Haha, can you even hear yourself? Don’t make me laugh officer. I feel sorry for those who left but don’t you find it ri

The girls quickly packed their tent into the van. As for the food, they didn’t bother to touch it. By the time they were done changing into something presentable, Sara also arrived, and the three girls joined Sara, and headed towards the city for their first visit to the police station. On their way, Sara acted very worriedly as she asked the girls.“What could be the reason why they are calling you?”“Who knows? Maybe they are calling others in batches,” Lizzy rubbed her chin thoughtfully as she said that, making the other two girls to nod in agreement.“They can’t possibly just call us alone, right?”“Maybe they thought about something and want to cross reference!”“Whatever, let us just see what they want when we go there.”“We are blames and here for a small vacation, that can’t be crime, right?”The girls grumbled nonsense, sounding f

On the girls’ side, after ending the call, she looked at the girls and sighed dejectedly, “Sigh …… news spread pretty fast, ae!”“They already know?”“Um, the news spread fast, which means that this time, we might be on the right track.”“How can we not be when we slashed a wolfie?” Lizzy scoffed as she flicked her nails playfully.Bryssa, on the other hand looked worried as she looked at Elowyn and asked, with a slightly furrowed brow, “does he want you to leave the place?”Elowyn looked at her and nodded, “Um, but I refused. If we leave hurriedly like that. Won’t it be the same as broadcasting that we are suspicious?”Both girls nodded as that made sense.“However, I could sense that there is more to this that what he said,” Elowyn added, furrowing her brows and a concerned look on her face.“What do you mean?&r
