Chapter 59

Tori's POV

Things got pretty weird after that-from the glares that both alphas exchanged down to the awkward smile that Alpha Lancaster's date, exchanged with me.

"Sure. Since we have both our dates here, maybe we can each take a compartment of the jet," Alpha Damian said.

This was some sort of ruse, or a very bad plan to get me alone so we could have some space.

But Alpha Lancaster was quicker.

"Why would we do that? We all know each other, don't we? We can all share t

  • The Rejected Luna Strikes Back    Look who's decided to grace us with their presence...

Chapter 86 Tori's POV As soon as I regained consciousness, I was met with the most brutal headache that I had ever experienced in my life. My head was thumping, and the pain even affected my sight. "Argh!!!" I grabbed my sore breasts. I hadn't breastfed Arthur in a long time, and my breasts are overflowing. I'm even leaking through by shirt. I leaned against the rough wall, and I wanted to cry. Maybe I would feel better if I cried a little. It's been more than twenty hours since I went on my quest to look for Adrian, Damien, and Kylian, but I had been unfruitful. Emily tricked me, and now I'm locked in a basement with the worst and most irritating headache in the world. What's going to happen to my sun if I didn't go home in time? Gosh, I didn't want to think about that. I needed to find a way to get out of this hellhole. Finally, I heard a movement, and I almost burst into tears of gratitude. Yes, I was still a prisoner, but maybe they would be kind enough

  • The Rejected Luna Strikes Back    Oh, please

Chapter 85 Camilla's POV I was feeling the warm sun against my skin when I heard footsteps. I raised my shades, and there were Emily and Greg – the two people who will help me find and bring Damien and Adrian to justice. "Yes? I assume that you are here to tell me that you have found Adrian or the little kid? Perhaps Damien too?" "We couldn't find them." Greg blurted out. "Great." I said with sarcasm, and put back my shades in place. "I wonder why I pay you so much money if you can't find them. Am I not wasting my time with both of you?" Emily was fidgeting. She had been disappointing me so much of late. "I'm sorry, Camilla, but we are very close to finding them. Just give us more time, okay?" "Time is expensive, Emily. How long is this supposed to take?" I saw them throw glances at each other. They were not telling me the entire truth. "What?" I said with a trace of irritation. "We didn't find him, but we found someone else that would be very impo

  • The Rejected Luna Strikes Back    Something's off

Chapter 84 Tori's POV I stepped out of the car, my feet touching the pavement that I have walked past a lot of times. There was something grim about Adrian Lancaster's mansion right now. It used to be one of the most beautiful places I had ever seen. I used to relish every single second I got to spend in the house as Kylian's babysitter, but this was different. It looked like the colour was washed off the building, and there wasn't a single guard outside. Adrian was very paranoid about Kylian and I safety, so there was no way that he would leave the house without protection. Thankfully, my key was still in my pocket. I walked to the front, unlocking my door, but to my dismay, the door was open. I gave it a small push, and the door creaked open. The entire living room floor, where the servants spent so many hours scrubbing, was covered in dust. It's been a while since anyone has been in this house. "Hello? Is anyone here?" I walked deeper into the creepy

  • The Rejected Luna Strikes Back    For my sake

Chapter 83 Tori's POV I slid to the ground as soon as the call ended. I'm bad luck, aren't I? That's why Adrian, Damien, Kylian, are probably dead. It's because of me. Poor Mrs Lancaster, too. She took me in, against the wish of her daughter, and only heavens knows what happened to her. What did Emily do to her? I silently returned to the side of my baby and watched him sleep peacefully. It's a miracle that he didn't have any defect, even though I almost drowned in the ocean. I gently held on to his hand as the crazy plan kept coming to my head again and again. Camilla's a very dangerous person, I wasn't sure that she wasn't going to stop. She thought I was dead, but I'm not. Was that an advantage for me? Could I go out and find all the people I care about, just to make sure that they are alive? What if Adrian and Damien really needed me, but I am sitting here on my ass and waiting to be saved like a helpless princess. This was my time to prove to the

  • The Rejected Luna Strikes Back    Five days later

Chapter 82 Tori's POV It took five days for me to let Miranda convince me to breastfeed my boy. He looked peaceful, sleeping in the old crib that Williams brought for him, and Stephanie used some soft blankets to make a bed for him. I stayed in the room all day, sitting on the ground and rocking myself back and forth. I didn't want to get too close to him, fearing that I would cause him some form of bad luck, but also not staying far enough that he would feel my absence and cry. "You need to eat, Tori." Miranda sighs as I struggle to fill my bumping bottles. "I don't have an appetite, Miranda." I turn away, handing her the quarter filled bottles. "I know, but you need to eat for your son. He needs nutrients and you are not giving him any by starving yourself." She gently touched my knee. She leaves and returns with a bread sandwich and a glass of warm cocoa drink. I wanted to say no, but my stomach was groaning, my baby shouldn't suffer because of me.

  • The Rejected Luna Strikes Back    We can help you

Chapter 81 Tori’s POV What came after her declaration was pure fear—fear of the unknown, and fear that they could be dead. And if they knew I was alive too, I would be killed as well. “I will try my best to help you. My wife will be back home soon too, so we can help you scope out the area and tell you what is up with your family. I hope you do remember who they are…” she said. I nodded slowly, the pain of remembrance almost greater than the pain I would have faced if I didn’t remember them in the first place. Just then, as I opened my mouth to tell her what I thought, the door opened. Another woman came in—muscular and tall, with a taper-fade haircut that framed her face dangerously well. She gave me a small look of surprise before finally turning to Miranda. “Babe… I did not know she was awake already,” she said, pulling Miranda into her arms and planting a kiss on her head. “She woke up a while ago and tried to threaten me with a spoon. I think she is better now,”
